Thane Kyrell's Ability states:

While you perform an attack, you may spend 1 Focus, Hit or Crit result to look at the defender’s facedown damage cards, choose 1, and expose it.

My Question is: Can you choose to use this ability AFTER you Roll Red Dice and BEFORE the Defender Rolls Green Dice? (Since it is all during the "Perform an Attack" phase, you should be able to choose when, right?)

Yes. You spend dice during the same time as when you would moddify them, so before the defender would roll.

Not only can you, you must. Spending in 2e is a dice mod so it happens during the relevant mod dice step.

yup spending is a die mod in 2.0 so this HAS to be before green dice are rolled and the damage is resolved.

Which is why its kinda bs strong, as you can immediately trigger a lot of crits you flipped over.
