Well, sir, there's nothin' on Earth like a genuine bona-fide electrified six-car monorail! What'd I say?

Long Live the Monorail!
Except that in my core set and everyone that I know's core set, the center line is not in the center. So there is zero reason to use the new templates that we HAD to buy in the new core set.
Extra tie fighter dials, and damage deck for those of us without the cool xwing ones. Oh and my center lines look fine.

I reported my misprinted rulers to FFG. they sent me a second copy of all of the core set cardboard. the replacement rulers are correctly printed and i still have the old ones when i want to cheat.

Oh, Saltstreamer. You cad you.

TIE Fighter dials from 1.0 work just fine in 2.0.

I reported that ALL 3 SHIPS were defective in my core. Both TIEs had crooked wings and even the center post came out. The x-wing was also not straight. Asmodee is sending replacement for those. I guess I can lodge a claim on the templates too.
It is surprising how poor quality the core sets are given that I have purchased 4 cores in the past all without issues.

No, what's surprising is that you have apparently experienced EVERY SINGLE reported issue in a single purchase. Almost unbelievable, even.
Personally speaking my core (and all three conversion kits) were in perfect condition, as were all the new models.
I received the promo damage deck as well.
Maybe you were just REALLY unlucky.

Its trivial to prove your statements incorrect. I blurred my Proof of purchase as you don't need that information. I haven't taken pics of my templates yet as I haven't lodged a claim.

I received one too. But my store only got half of them so I do feel bad for those that didn't get one. I really dislike the promo deck though. Full size cards are too big.
I purchased alt art damage decks from Pall La Rue and am very happy with them. No reason for me to use the official damage deck. Looking back, I should have saved my money and not ordered one.

His statement was that it was surprising, not sure how you can prove that incorrect.

QuoteAlmost unbelievable, even.
He was implying that I was lying. That is how I read it. Given that he personally attacked me in his previous message, I assumed malice. He could have just said it was surprising and left it at that. But he went further with the quote above.
Actually my lines were fine but all the models in my core set were messed up, I do believe they got really sloppy with these core sets, love the game, love 2.0, but the transition has been really rough and sketchy to be honest
I didn't get my bonus damage deck, and two of my models were bent askew. Askew, I say!
Man, seriously?
I made this as a joke thread, something light hearted, so we can all laugh at the Monorail song.
But it's become a "complain about products" thread?
my templates are fine. my x-wing is awesome. Ties are a little wonky but nothing major. Does seem that the quality of materials all around are a bit more flimsy.
I love monorails by the way....

I had the exact same problem. I got to game night, opened up my brand new core, and found that everything was bent and warped!
...and that's how I learned not to leave my miniatures in direct sun in a hot car while I'm at work. XD

As a note... One of our locals got a bent cannon on a Saw's scheme X-Wing... He tried the hot water trick to bend it back, but missed the temperature range on what "hot" meant. His "snub fighter" became a "stub fighter" as all the cannons shriveled up. It was one of the rare cases where just snipping them off probably improved the looks.

Also the "and everyone I know" part of the statement. Which would also be very surprising.

Isn't that pretty much what happened to Finn's skimmer in assault on the Crait base?

Yeah, now that you mention it. Finn put his fighter too close to the tap there too.
