There is no hope!
That's a no from me dawg.
Boo!
I had MOTF on one time after playing some Halo, and I looked away to do something then I heard... I heard something familiar.
And I started to look around, I checked to see if I had left something open on my phone, or if my PC had been left on...
No.
It was MOTF, playing the Halo Reach soundtrack.

SUCH A GOOD SOUNDTRACK THOUGH.
I used to love playing the silent cartographer in the original halo because if you moved the warthog correctly you could bring it to the island interior and just run everything over. or park it neer the door so that when you got it open the elite rushes out and is then crushed by it.

Also, the ability to go the opposite way in the quest and skip an entire part.
It's the only game I've come across where that is allowed to happen.
Lets not forget, silent cartographer, where you can just... drive into the ocean.
Meanwhile, the cycle of "this halo game is bad, only 2 is good" continues. I understand why people didnt like 5, but I enjoy it, just like 4. And having gone back and played 2 multiplayer on MCC, I prefer the newer games. Nothing like unloading two whole magazines into someone and not knowing if your hitting, and if you are then not killing them.
Looks like housekeeping missed a spot...
Speaking of MOTF, @Captain Weather drop a new report! It's been over a month and I need my dose! My F5 button screams for an UPDATE!

We're filming a batrep on Sunday! We actually would have had one out sooner but life and all that jazz.

Halo 5 did a lot right and a lot wrong. The mechanical changes to the game brought Halo into this decade. Being about to climb up on edges when you jump and almost make it or aim with any gun were major improvements. I think the major issue with H5 was the campaign not matching the pre-release hype. Everyone expected their to be this massive conflict between the new Spartans and chief and it was nothing but a minor point in the game.
Like these "hunt the truth" videos came out and there was an absolute riot of hype... but none of this was ever even close to being in the game...
That said, I enjoyed it too. I thought the multiplayer was an obvious cash grab. If Halo fans were half as whiny as Star Wars fans this game would've been banned in several countries for it's "loot" boxes too...

I 100% agree with the marketing thing. It feels like, and you can feel this while playing as well, that they wanted to do more of a, play as Locke then go back and play as chief to see what actually happened... sorta thing. And I sorta wish that had been how it was. 2 campaigns, and you unlocked the Chief campaign after beating it on legendary and unlocking all the intel bits. Or even as you unlock the intel bits, you get the correlating mission as Chief. But then microsoft or someone said, "Okay, we need to get this game out, MCC didn't do as well as we had hoped, we need to get a working halo game out." Because, MCC and Halo 5 came out like, a year apart from each other, so if they had had another year, I feel it would have been perfect.
But we'll never know.
The main difference between the loot boxes in Halo 5 and Battlefront 2, is that the req packs only work in 1 mode and it tells you that. You don't even have to play that mode. The Battlefront 2 loot boxes, gave people the abilities way to quickly. My first pack I opened, I got a super thermal detonator. Purple. I didn't have to unlock it... and you could tell my grenades were WAY better than people who didn't get that. Its all about how you work in loot boxes. I feel Halo 5's arnt too bad, because its mostly cosmetics or power weapons for one mode, that don't make you a super god. Overwatch did only cosmetics, ect. It just depends.
Edit: Don't get me wrong though, I hate loot boxes, I'd rather get my gear and loot from achivements and doing things in game.

I almost feel like Halo 5's were worse. In BF I was able to win regularly even with garbage cards, I never felt the impact of the different levels. In halo, I was so tired of wearing the unfamiliar, generic-looking, goofy-*** Spartan suits I'd spend cash on reqs regularly to try to unlock familiar gear. I didn't stop until I had ODST stuff lol
In all honesty, by the time I stopped playing there's no way I spent less than $150 in total on that game.
The only equalizer I guess with Halo 5 is, I had a lot of fun once the PvE warzones released. It was worth it at that point.
Speaking of Ewoks, I really like the hyper-capitalist version from Darths and Droids...

For Christmas I would like some soap on a rope. That is all.

That’s absurd. This thread is part of our history and culture.
