He's right, it's a system we can't afford to lose.
I totally agree that Ewoks rule!!! While disagreeing with any other comment on Ewoks.

Do they rule though? They seemed pretty keen to promote discussion on policy decisions from a wide cross-section of their community. I’d be more inclined to say they collectively organise than they rule.
Sorry if this is getting too political.
to get this thread, back on topic
do you think the Browns have a chance to get to Wild Card?
and on the Ewok un-topic, I think they were just having some fun with the fire, you do not roast something you didn't strip, skin and prepare; the more if you do not know it species and in SW universe. You do not know if it does not have something that will explode when exposed to high temperatures....
besides, I do not think H. Ford& alt would have accepted a script where it's written. "the Ewoks strips naked and start to skin the rebel commando...." ?

Yes, the Neolithic arboreal teddy bear midgets clearly had a nuanced and deeply refined cooking culture and etiquette.

well, you know, nobody has ever asked where was the victory banquet meat from, and where the stormtroopers helmets that were used as drums were found....
some says it taste like chicken....any way, waste not, want not
Edited by gounourPlus we saw Luke burning his father so thst may gave the Ewoks sone ideas. Or maybe they inspired Luke...?

I always assumed based on their highly advanced and nuanced cooking culture that the ewoks sent the captured imperials to be processed and held at the detention treehouse awaiting transfer to Imperial authorities once the peace negotiations were complete, and the helmets were just a few tastefully selected trophies, and that after the party the “helmet xylophone” was probably part of the war memorial exhibition at the Museum Tree.

You arsonist...
Oh the rampant hypocrisy of this thread!
Happy for mammals to eat mammals as long as the second mammals are not you.
Outrageous.
I think the Ewoks knew what they were doing - they had obviously had conflicts with the stormtroopers, and I am sure they are what they caught. Humans (well, male humans) are the enemy, and very tasty.
The idea that we ought not eat this cow because he is at war with the cows we ate previously is nonsensical.

Sexist much? The Stormtrooper corps is happy to accept female recruits. But surely Ewoks can find tastier fare than humans... my money says the fleet was missing a few Mon Calamari personnel in the morning.
They didn’t eat Leia ... and where is there one female in the stormtroopers under Palpatine? They are still clones Inthink of that Maori chap who was on Playschool.

Leia won Wicket over with her kind personality imo. And like every other thing of quality, the Empire stopped producing Fett clones at the end of the Clone Wars in favor of different, cheaper clones and random idiots who signed up.
Edited by The JabbawookieIt IS canon that Leia had to provide food to the Ewoks to STOP them eating Imperial prisoners.
Its part of the same short that first showed Hera and the Ghost surviving Endor.

The replacement of Fett clones was a necessity as without fresh DNA from Jango Fett, the number of bad batches would increase.
Also there was that rebellion on Kamino in Battlefront II that revealed the weakness inherent in being cloned from 1 source.

They only showed the Ewoks with the intent to roast live.
Theyre not SCAVENGERS...

they obviously are scavengers!

Hunters, trappers, and warriors.
Not once in canon do we see them harvesting the dead for anything but bait.
But we see them - in multiple places - attempting to roast their prey alive.
Proof they’re scavengers?

they roast stuff live yes but do their traps and weapons seem like it leaves stuff alive? prove to me they are obligate live food cookers first !
We are having tacos for dinner tonight.
...just thought that was relevant.

Indeed! They are first seen utilizing nets to capture baited prey!
Then on top of spears they utilize a proliferation of blunt instruments and even Bolas! Immobilizing and incapacitating rather than first chance killing!

Also, they restrain their prey and carry it back live even though it would be much easier and safer to kill it first.
