Question Jin Odan - Quick Draw

By Swifty_FX, in Imperial Assault Rules Questions

Hello Community,

English isnĀ“tt my native language so i hope you understand what i ask :-) It is possible to say i will not activate an hero or an figure in a group which has an line of sight to jin odan to prevent the quick draw? In the rulebook says that you must activate every single unit or group and there every unit in it. He want to say "i dont do anything with this unit so i dont activate them and you cant use quick draw". Is that possible? For me it is not correct - also if you dont do anything with a unit you must activate them and then you can do nothing but he must be activated or?

Hope you can help me :-) Many thanks in advance and kind regards

That's correct.

Every unit activates. If you don't want to move / attack etc they still activate.

Plus, as Jyn's ability happens at the start of a figure's activation, she can quick draw before the imperial player decides what action(s) that figure will do.

If it is your turn to activate you must activate one ready group of your choice. If you only have one ready group, you must activate it.

You activate a group by activating each figure in that group in the order of your choice.

Hey all - many many thanks for your help - my friend agreed today and now we can play the campaign :D he missunderstood something but now he know that he must activate every unit - so thx for your help and have much fun to play this great game ?

Best way to avoid Quick Draw is to avoid line of sight. Usually when I activate troopers, I move the one behind that Jyn can't target and leave it such a way Jyn can't draw line of sight to the other 2. It's somewhat annoying but in the end is one of the easiest ability to counter in the core box.
