New Scum Ships from SW Resistance?

By BVRCH, in X-Wing

Soo Uglies are canon now!

Top one seems to be Yeager's ship. The rest seem to be pirate uglies.

An extended Sneak Peek I think

Thank you! Awesome; I want miniatures of every ship shown!

I didn't even realize it was so close to release.

Edit- I'm kind of confused why FFG would put so much effort into splitting up the factions by time period, but they're allowing a single combined scum faction across multiple eras.

Very close.

I am mildly concerned about how they're going to manage Scum as the other factions split. We'll see what happens.

I've said elsewhere that I think Scum should get stuff that encourages synergism in their various organizations (Hutt Cartel, Black Sun, Azzameen family, etc) but also allows for them to go crazy with combinations. The more naturally lore-fitting builds should be solid enough that they draw attention but not to the degree that it stifles builds that don't care about lore. This could also be used in other factions to have things like "squadron" cards, where all members of Red Squadron get some shared bonus that isn't overwhelming but encourages the build. I imagine these as either having a minimum number of qualifying ships to equip to your squad or requiring all ships in your squad qualify. The problem I have with this is that defining what pilots qualify might require another living document as new members might be added to the game after the original squadron/organization cards are released.

Anyway, enough about that idea.

The ships look great. I did not catch that several appear to have a-wing cockpits. That's really fun. I'm not sure where the rest of those ships come from, if they are cobbled together from other things.

Another possibility is that they aren't exactly uglies but disguised a-wings. I like that idea a lot less. The "lambda" certainly looks like a full on scrap-build, though.

I'm really digging the design aesthetic for all the cobbled together ships and the racers. I don't mind the FO Squint, though it seems very "prototype" since it's a special color and not flanked by more of the same ship. The uglies are pretty **** awesome though. I love the various S-foil configurations - makes me wonder if they'll make multi-part models as someone suggested, with each config gaining specific benefits - either part of the pilot ability or maybe even whole new dials. It looks fun either way. :)

one of those looks a LOT like a gunboat...

The awing meets actis uglies look standardized enough that you have multiple examples, so that might get a release. Two grades of pirate plus a pair of named pirates, easily. Those vertical fins on the wing tips look like they rotate, not sure if they count as s-foils though.

Not sure about the shuttle though.
