Despite the pain of no top-init Kylo, I am pumped for the Silencer

.. Who the EFF is blackout. and why is Kylo NOT i6??

Kylo was already crazy good when the game was broken in a world with TLT, perfect info bombing, PS 10+11, Stresszra and tactician, PTL on almost all aces, crazy passive mods, reinforce and evades everywhere, infinite regen, and ISB slicers and Krennic. Now imagine him at top init in the tamer 2nd edition focused on arcs and skill: the game will just devolve to single TIE silencers or Silencer+friend on both sides, which is very boring. Also, as an imp who will also play FO, the choice between Soontir and Kylo actually means something to me now. Back in 1.0, a fast point fortress with crazy reaction, a much more powerful offense, bad green insurance, always at R3 behind a rock or out of arc, and intentionally getting blocked, with the ability to pull Kylo crew BS on a chassis of 6 health was a lot to gain for just Soontir's ability and the evade action.

Also, there is a trend of the factions' "superships" being pricey with good offense and defense, but capping at I5 for game health. Corran, Rex, Guri, and soon Kylo are all I5. All the I6 fighter pilots are balanced out by their medium-grade ships being susceptibility to crits (Soontir and Fenn), 2agi (Poe and Wedge), 2 firepower (Omega Leader), or inability to consistently boost after moving (Vader and Omega Leader). We don't need a combo of a legendary pilot and a power ship.

The leak suggested that the generic elite would be a Force User. I can get behind that idea.

I1 no talent, I3 Knight of Ren with Force, I5’s Blackout and Kylo.

I haven't seen that leak, but it would be cool. My birdy, however, states that at the time, the low generic was an I3 with a talent.

Sorry “leak”. It was fake. Just a cool idea.

I know the Silencer looks a lot like the Interceptor, but it's possible it has a different ship ability. A Force-sensitive pilot with Autothrusters capability seems monstrously powerful.

Nope, it looks to have the same exact ability as the Interceptor but its action bar drops the Evade action for a Target Lock.

Which is why Blackout vs Kylo is a legitimate question because Blackout can get Debris Gambit.

You will also pay at least 8 points for Kylo’s force tokens. Together with 12 for Supernaturals, that’s a whole lot of extra points..

If you think of force charges as a Talent upgrade in themselves, they'd be one of the best Talents out there. Getting a free Calculate token per turn would be amazing, and that's essentially what a force user gets. Plus, if Kylo can get out of arc, he can safely Lock a target, and rerolls and force charges pair well together.

Personally, I don't think Debris Gambit is all that exciting on a Silencer, since on 3 green dice a focus is going to be about as good as an evade token. Maybe if your flying with a coordinating shuttle there could be some benefit to token stacking, but I'm not convinced. Debris Gambit seems best on someone with Han gunner, to stack tokens, or someone with a linked red evade.

All in all, I think these are pretty exciting. Double the hit points of a TIE Interceptor with the option to Lock if you're safe is really good. Primed Thrusters look great, and any existing Sensor (FCS, ColDet, AdvS) all look like they'd be good. I know AdvS doesn't play well with Autothrusters, but it does open up a lot of different kinds of options.

All I want out of life is to field 3 force wielding Silencers.

You know that will never fit into 200 points, right? :)

You sure? 60 points for a I3 1 force generic seems about right to me. That's +20 points over the generic Inquisitor, for +1 red and +2 hull. More than that gets you too close to Luke, with a similar statline, +2I and an amazing ability, in exchange for -1 agility and a slightly worse action bar.

The Aggressor is also 70 points, with a comparable action bar, a pilot ability, +1I, +1 hull and +1 shield. Doesn't seem like a point difference of, say, 5, would be appropriate.

I've pointed this out elsewhere (and I think it's been known for awhile that he's I5)....Kylo wasn't at the top of the PS chart last edition (thanks to VI), so I5 puts him pretty him in pretty much the same place as he was before, relatively speaking,

We will see, but I expect Silencer to be the First Order equivalent of the TIE Defender, both in capabilities and in price.. Especially if they have access to force tokens.

We know it won't be, though. We know everything there is to know about the ship now, the only things missing are Blackout's pilot ability (assumed to be unchanged), the initiative of the generics (probably 1 & 3 or 2 & 4), the upgrade bar (also assumed to be unchanged), and the points values. There is just no way Kylo Ren will be able to match Rexler Brath power wise, so it would be a supremely odd choice to price him as if he could. I could see him in the high seventies, sure, but no higher than 80. I guess we'll see in a few weeks.
