Wheres my thweek pilot card and my ship base chit??? FFG seem to have forgot someone!!
Scum upgrade missing card - Thweek
Oh, he’s there. He’s just incognito. Another pilot’s name might be on his card, but in 2.0 Thweek has been buffed and gets both initiative and pilot ability of his target.

He even gets their ship, too. Much more versatile in this edition.
I fully expect Th week in Starviper 2.0 pack.

Exactly. Best pilot in X-wing. Probably completely OP, but they’ll never nerf him.

Even a adjustable point cost depending on what ship you copy
On a more serious note, given the Fixed initiative, and ability for a Thweek player to have a 3-5 point bid. I think if Thweek did get reprinted. He would have to be costed as if he were Inititive 5/6. With a winning bid you move after your opponent, which would be better against I6 pilots than Guri, but worse against I1-5. So maybe a shade less than Guri.
Lets say 58/60 points depending on if he gets a talent slot.
i would be surprised if thweek isnt in the 2.0 rerelease box / cardpack.
Theres only a couple of ships that have more than 4 pilots that arent 2.0 released atm. Vast majority of them are 3-4 pilots, i think the ones that have more than 4 atm and havnt been 2.0 released yet are ones that had more than 4 pilots from the beginning anyway (strikers for instance)

The thing is with Thweek, you may as well make him an I6 with no ability. In my encounters with him, at least, no one bothered ever taking an opponent's ability because it was so rare that any ability would actually help as much as guaranteeing that you were tied for highest pilot skill.
Good ol Thweek, one of the few nice memories from the end of 1e. Yes, you would normally just copy PS and move last. But for several games in tournaments I copied pilot abilities. Rey's was probably the best for defensive and offensive rerolls. Thweek became a jouster. Other great pilot abilities to copy, Inquisitor, Dark Curse, Wedge.
I hope his pilot ability doesn't change at all in 2e. Now I'm trying to think of the best pilot ability to copy in 2e. Copy Howlrunner for free attack re-rolls. Copying Fenn Rau or Boba Fett, that's good too.
I love tweek, but his ability was king of too powerful. Now, with the use of force and Charge token, he cannot shadow the strongest pilot abilitys and I think this is good!

I think it'd be pretty nice to see him at I4, with only the ability to uh... copy abilities. Non charge/force based ones, most likely.
In this brave new generic world, it may often be wasted BUT, it would still be fun and not everything should be measured by a competitive yardstick.
I wonder how far out of line things would get if you let him copy any ability on the table, so you could feed him yourself, rather than waste him.

I think you've got this one nailed. Let's hope the devs are watching!
Let's just agree that a I6 star viper would be a serious pain in the butt.
I REALLY hope they just do his ability copy if they re-introduce him at all.

I'm currently, mostly, trying to figure out how to best position Advanced Sensors + Outmanoeuvre Ryad and Rex against a selection of I5/6 pilots....
Add an I6 Viper and I'm just plain moving on.

You just call in the Death Star on that one.

Eh, his ability was very situational. 99% of the time, you would go for the pilot skill because there were simply no good abilities on the table for him to use.
And then there's the whole "Opponent is flying a low-PS generic swarm" where Thweek gets nothing to copy.

But.. I thought that was the best part about it and it kept him balanced. I loved throwing Tweek in a list. Every time he showed up, my opponents liked that I put him there, regardless if he had anything to copy.
Although, I think it would be fun to copy someone off your own list. Two Talonbane or Fen?

The trouble with being able to copy abilities is that then every single ability has to be balanced for being on a Starviper in addition to being balanced for its own ship.
Maybe that could be somewhat mitigated by giving him non-recurring charges, and requiring him to spend one to use a copied ability?

I would say 66% that left 1/3 of strong ability such as inquisitor. And the VP race was crazy, also. So even the VP choice was a good choice
Thematic that Thweek would fail at copying Jedi's.

Sounds like a good call.
Talonbane or Fenn would be pretty brutal. Some of the TIE pilots could be even stronger. Would probably mean Thweek would have to be expensive or charge based, latter seems the best option to me. How many charges would dictate his cost, compared to Xisor/Dalan.
Redlines ability would be nice. He seems to be about a lot.
Fenn, Guri and FennThweek sounds pretty amazing tbh.
Guri - Outmanoeuvre
Fenn - Naked
Dalan/Xisor- Outmanoeuvre
196....
