Proton Torps - Use more than once?

By Stethoscope Nunchucks, in X-Wing Rules Questions

Have yet to play 2.0 but trying to clarify a few things before our first game next week.

Can you use proton torpedoes (and other special attack cards) more than once? Still a little confused about how the charges on a card work. Do I spend one charge to use the card and another to upgrade a hit to critical? Or is using the card "free" and I can upgrade results twice.

You spend (flip) the charge to make the attack. You get two attacks with proton torps.

You spend the charge to fire the weapon and you get to mod the hit as an added benefit. In essence, you get to fire it twice.

Do what it says. Does it say to spend a charge to change the result? Then you don't have to.

Each current ordnance comes with a number of charges which means that absent external interference (saturation salvo and joy rekoff being examples) they're good for that many shots.

Note also that you don't spend the target lock to fire.

Sorry, the card pic I was looking at was poor resolution. I read it at "Spend 1 charge, change 1 hit result to a critical." But now that I look again, I see it's a period, not a comma.
