Lambda Shuttle got a solid revamp for 2.0. Id be interested to see what lists you think are competitive.
This ship has long been considered a support ship but in 2.0 I wonder could a 2 or 3 Lambda list be any good?
thoughts?

If i had 4 lambdas, which i only have 1, i'd try to see if i can bring the Buzzsaw mentality back.
Ion Cannons on 4 omicrons means you only got 8pts to play with sadly. Upgrading one to Sai is probably the best bet since he can coordinate another to Reinforce and then Reinforce himself, making the list that much harder to take out quickly. None of their other actions are really worth coordinating unless you were expecting a bump with the coordinated ship so you focus'd.
i've been trying to utilize the one i have and not really having any luck. Sai with the title turns into a beatstick but then falls into the usual lambda woes - after turn3, im spending 3-4 turns to rejoin the fight...
Not quite a full cow-list, but the classic Omicron Palp-Mobile still seems solid. Both the times I've flown it, I've had a use for Palp's force token every turn, the coordinates were handy, and the ship still seemed to soak a lot of fire (Reinforce can go a long way). Dropping it into many squads for 56 points seems worthwhile.
Sai is amazing. I've run her w/ Whisper/Echo. Sai gets FCS, Title, HLC, and Palp. Whisper gets Juke/Vader, and Echo gets Juke, 0-0-0.
I think you do Sai and Jendon, alongside 2 omicrons. That way, everyone gets locks on the first turn, your first round of combat gets a bunch of fully modded shots, Sai can reinforce or focus Jendon, giving extra actions.
That leaves you with 21 points of upgrades. You could give them all hull upgrades, or throw on vader and minister tua.
Jendon doesnt actually give them locks.
He makes them "acquire beyond R3 instead of 0-3 when they acquire a lock" - they still have to actually do something to get the lock. And lambdas have no lock feature outside the title
Sai is definitely worth it, Jendon does nothing.

Good point, I keep forgetting lambda's can't naturally lock anymore.

that coordinate into reinforce for another lambda giving Sai his own reinforce is nice. A large base ship with 1 evade dice is pretty vulnerable to focus fire. im betting there is a way to fly 2 or even 3 lambda's in staggered formation to really abuse this synergy and mess with damage dealt in the first exchange. its def worth testing. would just love to see a competitive cow list emerge that hasnt been seen b4

Indeed. In a multiple lambda list, Sai is a boss - pair with ST-321 and he can co-ordinate/reinforce another lambda, reinforce himself and pick up a target lock. Not bad for a single non-linked action!
I don't think ion cannons are so vital, because you need multiple, concentrated, accurate ion fire to ionize someone. Because you need 2 uncancelled hits to ionize someone, I'm not sure ion cannons are a great buy for lambdas who have trouble concentrating fire. I'd probably go for tractor beams as a first choice to try and throw a ship into the arcs of multiple others.
Kagi...I don't know. If there was a reliable way to toughen him up, maybe. But Freelance Slicer needs a target lock (an argument for ST-321 on him instead, I guess?)
Jendon isn't much use in a pure lambda list, unless you're also taking Krennic to give you target locks.
The classic problem with Lambdas is getting their nose around. Arguably the best option for that is Moff Jerjerrod. At any time, probably only one ship wants to boost, but a red boost followed by a green bank gives you an effectively 'white' turn, which is very nice for a lambda.
I'm not sure I agree that their problem is getting their nose around, at least not in 2.0. That 3/2 Front/Rear arc is one heck of a murder zone now. Being able to pull a full stop every other turn can block a lot of ships, or force them to hop over and into R1 of one of the arcs. Coordinating a focus to a close wingmate means that Sai has a TL and Focus on whatever you think you'll be shooting at with 3-4 dice. It's nothing to sneeze at. And anyone that goes for Sai instead of her shooty wingmates just means they're ignoring the real teeth of the list, which is two aces of nearly whatever flavor you want. Getting behind a shuttle isn't a guaranteed kill anymore. It's actually a really great way to get killed.
It's a fair point. Target Lock/Focus is nasty, even with just 2 dice.
I still think the option of boost is worth taking Jerjerrod in a multiple-lamba-shuttle list as per the OP, though.

Absolutely. The insane reposition that gives the cow is fantastic. I haven't theorycrafted any tripple or quadcow lists yet, mostly because there's so much out there to try and cram on a table. But it's safe to say that Sai is a shuttle pilot you don't fortress. Get him(her?) stuck in, block lanes, coordinate for double toke aces, and harvest the tears when they realize it's no safer behind you at R1 than it was at R2 in front.
i agree that the addition of a rear arc, even one with 2 red dice is going to make quite a difference for the space cow. its now able to hurt you if you fly directly behind it. as already discussed here Sai and reinforce will add some much needed damage mitigation. multiple cows wont out fly you but they could heard key targets into a kill zone where modified red dice could really hurt unprepared enemy ships.
any thoughts on crew options for the lambda?
Edited by Da_Brown_Bomberheres the basis of a multiple cow list im working on.
Lt Sai (47) + ST-321 (6)
Omicron Group Pilot (43)
Omicron Group Pilot (43)
Howlrunner (40) + Swarm Tactics (3)
182pts.
18pts left.
not sure about crew for the shuttles or if advanced sensors would be worth the points. im tempted to just tank all out all of the cows with shield upgrades. tractor beams could be an option and potentially pull an enemy sip into the arcs of the cows.
feedback/suggestions welcome.

When trying to move 3+ unwieldy large bases around the board, I'd suggest collision detectors. The ability to turn yourself into Dash Rendar for two turns is amazing, especially if you also manage to fly over a rock and get "I'm obscured but you're not" shots with the aft guns.
thanks Magnus. Thats quite a bargain for 5pts. The surprise value of parking on a rock and blasting away is awesome!
Sai/title/collision detector, 2x OGP/collision detector, Howlrunner/swarm (197pts)
the omicons are underrated blockers. with collision detectors and asteroid placement it should be possible to spam the available space in the center of the map and heard enemy ships towards a kill zone where Sai and one of the OGPs can get modified attacks in first engagement. Howlrunner will be effective bait. That ship is always a high priority target. I'm going to need a Turn and Burn plan once enemy ships are on my flank. Maybe thats where Howlrunner can bait them to chase her and buy a few turns for the cows to reposition?
I am calling this squad Sacrificial Lamb
Maybe 3 lambdas and a cheap bomber just to seismic your opponents strategic obstacles off the map?
feels like a arc dodging ace list would run circles around mutiple lambda's, even with their rear arc.
How’s your experience with the ST 321 title? Is it worth 6 points? I want to play Sai with Soontir and Vader...

I'd drop Howl and Swarm tactics for a bomber w/ barrage missiles and proton bombs, and do what it takes to get Vader crew on Sai, and 000 and maybe something else if there's points for it. Oh, and get FCS onto Sai.

so jamming beam combined with ISB slicer means they lose green token each turn?

When stars align, yes.
I've been thinking about running Sai with Admiral Sloane alongside Juke TIE Fighters. Has anyone tried this approach with any level of success?
If I lose a TIE, at least the opponent takes the stress tokens. And if my TIEs go after a stressed target, with Howlrunner in the group, I can modify both attack dice.

cool looking list. with that many points invested in sai ur opponent is going to make it a priority target. Part of ur plan to flank with the ties fighters? howlrunner is awesome but less so with few ships to abuse her rerolls. at a glance im wondering how you will fly this list and keep formation with the shuttle or is ur plan to formation flank with the tie-fighters and bait them to go all-in on ur shuttle. HLC on the shuttle seems iffy after the first pass and im betting u will get few shots on small agile ships that trump Sai's initiative 3. Just trying to be constructive. Could Palpatine be a better fit here? Feels like the list needs some way to give stress to abuse Slaone.
