Krennic Ideas

Hi guys. I’m just starting and the first thing I noticed after looking at all the expansions was that there was no director krennic. He’s my favorite character and I really want him in the game. I made my own krennic and I want to know if it’s realistic.

Points= 28

the effects of offensive retrofits, defensive retrofits, ordnance, ion cannon, and turbolaser upgrades ( if possible) are doubled

any ideas for improvement?

Welcome to the forums. At first glance, it seems a little OP at 28 points, and there needs to be some more detailed wording to what it does. Just to look at each slot, a double range for Boosted Comms would be crazy, whereas a doubled expanded hanger bay might be alright. Doubled Early Warning System and Reinforced Blast Doors seems very strong (even though for RBD, you are really just making it a Motti ISD w/o Motti). Almost everything in the Ordnance and Ion Cannon slots seems too strong (imagine double Assault Proton Torpedoes or Assault Concussion Missiles, or double Heavy Ion Emplacements or Hight-Capacity Ion Turbines). And for Turbolasers, double Quad Battery Turrets, Turbolaser Reroute Circuits, and XX-9s all seem pretty strong. I would suggest probably limiting it to one or two slots, or increase his point cost.

If I were to change the point cost, what should I change it to. Also, if I were to change it to 1 or 2 slots, what do you recommend

Building cards is definitely not my forte, but I would bump him up to 30 and limit it to either the Ion Cannon or Turbolaser slot per activation. Since he ran the team that built the Death Star laser, this seems fitting. Text could read that he doubles the effect for either a turbolaser or ion cannon upgrade that has a numbered effect on the card, so it would double Heavy Ion Emplacements, MS-1s, Leading Shots, SW-7s, NK-7s, Ion Canon Batteries, High-Capacity Ion Turbines, Dual Turbolaser Turrets, Enhanced Armament, H9s, Quad Battery Turrets, Quad Turbolaser Cannons, Slaved Turrets, Spinal Armament, Turbolaser Reroute Circuits, and XX-9s (not sure how Heavy Turbolaser Turrets or XI7s would work though).

XI7s could let them redirect 2 points of damage. ?

Even at 30 points this commander would be undercosted. Just imagine him with Demo+ISDI with ACM, Raiders with HIEs etc.

Raider II with HIE could push for 13 damage from its front arc with CF dial...
