ID please! Need ship numbers.

Since we now need ID markers on the ship to match our locks, do you guys have any recommendations for third party acrylic ID markers to put on the base?

I know about Curled Paw already, but I want to know if there are any other.

Ideally, I would get some ID markers to match my existing collection of unique target lock tokens, but failing that I atleast want to be able to distiguish them from my opponent's.

Interested here also. I love the Curled Paw designs, but do not like the options of boring white and black when there's so many cool potential options with transparent colored tokens.

"need"? Unless you're playing official tournaments, won't the old lock tokens work anyway? Or use the old ID tokens, put one on your ship, one on your card, and throw the third one on whatever you're locking.

Is there a rule that says official lock mechanics need to be observed during tournaments?

I'm sticking to my tried-and-trusted LEGO head target locks. Target locked by Boba? Have a little Boba head.

What if targeted by an un-named fighter?

Lego makes Stormtroopers, TIE pilots, the works. ??

There's dozens of X-Wing pilots with unique helmets, plenty of TIE pilots (and that problem goes away as most TIEs can't lock) so the biggest problem you'll ever face is like a Z-95 swarm or something, and you just get a motley assortment of dudes to use.

So how do you TIE (get it?! LOL!) the head with a no-name Z-95 or whatever swarm?

First I am playing in official tournaments. But more importantly, I actually really like the new system. Reducing the number of tokens on the board is a good thing.

Using the old ID tokens is not a bad idea to distinguish them from my opponent's, but I would still prefer acrylic tokens.

I just use colored beads around the stands. For large ships I just use some clay tack to stick the bead onto an open space on the base. You can even stick a bead onto a target lock token to match.

I ran into the problem where the ID tokens don't work with the medium size bases. (Fall right out) So I'm going back to 1.0 ID tokens and my acrylic target locks. (Won them at a store event, not sure where they got them from.)

I've noticed this too. I might have to get some of the CPC stuff

Man he probably just doesn't play generic Z-95 swarms

Bling is always good! :) However, where does it say in the rules that official 2.0 stuff must be used at all times? I thought so long as you and your opponent were clear on what token denotes what....

Buy the same token (also on etsy) and HighbridgeDesign also have Lock tokens and (I think) ID markers.

The best thing about Curled Paws ID sets (I got both white and black) is that turret indicators are included to fit all ships. So you'll get a Small 1, a Medium/Large 1, a Small turret 1, a Medium/Large turret 1, and a bowtie turret 1.
