Hi,

small question...

As for casual play only, is it ok to use the galactic empire and the rebel conversions kits, to converted ship from the Force Awaken core set?
It won't be the same pilot, and the ship isn't the same (color), but will it work? or will i miss some cards?

Because right now, i only have the Force Awaken Core Set + Millenium Falcon (Han) and the Imperial Veterant expension, and i don't want to buy 4 differents conversion kit

Thanks

I mean... you can. But that's SUPER expensive to convert 2 ships per faction.

You'd probably be better off buying the new core, buying singles for the ships you own on Ebay, and just buying 2e ships. Or conversely, selling your existing plastic and buying 2e ships.

Just to note: there are upcoming Resistance and First Order conversion kits, if Sequel Trilogy ships are the ones you love most, but there aren't release dates yet. They may not be out for several months. I'd have converted those first, if they'd have been released at the same time as the other kits.

forget to say that i have a Ti/fo from first order and a A wing rebel too

Just want to know if i can use the X wing ship on the core i have (Poe Dameron) and use a x-wing pilote from the rebel conversion instead? Will it work?

i can have the conversion kit at 47$ cnd each here.... so for 47$ i can convert my Faulcon, 1x A wing and 1x X wing and for another 47$, 3 x ti/fo , 1 bomber and 1 Defender... will be cheaper i think.

In casual play you can do what you like. In tourney play this is unlikely to be legal. But you might still get away with it.

Ya it's only for Casual.

Will see in the future if the conversion kit for first order and resistance will be good, but for now, will use empire/rebel 2.0 pilot on first order/resistance V1 ship.

Thanks

I` am definitely with theBitterFig on this one. That's a pretty steep price to convert, and since you need to pick up a new core anyway (for the cards, the damage deck, etc), that extra money spent on two conversion kits could net you 4+ brand new ships and plenty of second edition content. I'd go with borrowing from friends/meta-mates, buying the cardboard from someone else's conversion kit, or some other solution. For wholly casual, just proxy the cardboard entirely.

12$ a conversion is just... not a good idea. Really not. And when you add in that 5 of those aren't actual conversions but just "similar ships", I just can't recommend the kits as a first go-to.
