Can some ships in 2.0 not take Modifications?

By eagletsi111, in X-Wing

I just noticed when using the app that Tie Advanced Prototypes cannot take modifications? Is is bug or an actual thing?

Thanks,

Thanks,

Some ships have 0 mod slots, others 1, 2, and in some cases even 3.

Ok. Cool. I thought it was a bug, but I guess it's a good way to limit them.

If you look at the points list pdfs on the support section of the website , you can see the current upgrade bar for each ship/pilot at a glance. There's a few ships have currently have no access to modifications.

Munitions failsafe on generic Inquisitors with homing missiles and instinctive aim would be pretty awesome.

Focus for your action. Have something in arc when it comes to combat? Ok spend a force to fire a homer. If they don't take a damage and want you to roll the dice you chuck and see what you get. If it's less than 3 hits/eyes just cancel and recover the charge. Try again next round.

And of course, there is some disparity between the official (garbage) app, and the PDFs/third-party apps.

Very few but yes some ships lack mods.

I think the only Imperial one is a defender for example.

The Defender and The Tie Advanced V1 both lack mod slots, actually. The other two big ones are the Fang and A-wing, which are a little odd when you compare them to the Tie Interceptor.

Fang i know didnt but i didnt know the Awing lacked it.

Which is really weird. Why would the Awing not have it? Its been modified several times!!

I have several friends who are A-wing fans. They are rather salty at the moment (about this and other things).

The A-Wing not having a mod slot AND not getting two talent slots makes it so boring in second edition.

Yeah, no afterburner and juke defenders. Sigh....

I think that's precisely why.

The A-Wings have already been packed to the gills with modifications to make them into the speedy chassis we all know and love, and now there's simply no more room for more.
