Scenario: a ship with Cloaking Device cloaks during activation. During the end phase, Cikatro Vizago swaps Cloaking Device for another illicit upgrade.

Issue: as far as the rules go, it sounds like that ship can remain cloaked indefinitely (or until the player chooses to decloak). But thematically, this sounds bonkers. The device that allows the ship to cloak has been removed, but it is still cloaked?!

This will undoubtably get asked again in the future (or has already been asked), so I’d love to see it defined in the FAQ or errata.

The same type of tactic existed in version 1.0 and was legal.

I would not look too deeply into the "thematic" aspec of it. I mean, you're finding a problem with a cloakless ship to remain cloaked, but not in the fact that a guy could walk out into space in the middle of a battle, take the cloaking device appeart, go to another ship, remove its self-destruct upgrade, install the cloaking device, go back to the first ship and install the self-destruct device, all while the ships are fighting, shooting, etc. That's one heck of a mechanic
