For everyone saying two ship lists are dead...

I think this is true as long as those ships punch. 3 dice attacks are pretty much required to do damage without leaning too hard on dice. I think a few Crack Shots in a squad might be significant as well. The medium base does make a bit of a Bullseye target, so you could get a few triggers. Boba has 10/11 hit points, so it's not like Crack Shot is super punishing, but with half points, it brings you a lot closer to getting points on him quickly.

Yeah, I guess to clarify, those 4-5 ships should be throwing 3 dice regularly. I've already been focusing on that myself, but I didn't say specifically. Even ships that say 2, but really are 3 such as Wampa, Lt. Blount, or Barrage Rocket carriers. Although keep in mind that if Boba closes range 1 against a Barrage Rocket carrier, you're still just rolling 3 and having the 4th die for being at Range 1 with a regular 3 die primary matters against Boba's defenses. The Empire seems to have the best ability to have a larger number of 3 die primary ships via Strikers, Interceptors, and Phantoms.

In the current pricing structure of other comparable cards he should be double figures. I'd start at 10pts.

Agree, it's so much stronger than Perceptive Co-pilot, 4 pts for a free action with no requirements to trigger it is a joke. 12 points feels more appropriate for this card, and Marauder title also needs a bump in cost, if Predator is 2 points and can only be used in the tiny bullseye arc, Marauder should be 6 to get a free reroll in the much larger rear arc.

This. This is my current jam. Along with Palob + Old T + Guri.

It's almost like they definitely wanted to sell some Lando Falcons.

I played GW games too long to not be cynical about using in-game quality to sell models, but there is a potentially positive effect, especially in the early waves of content release.

Some not small number of people have been uncertain about how FFG will keep both new and old players happy. New players need to be able to compete with available product, old players want to use their built up collections. One solution to this the two game formats (Extended and 2nd Ed). This is harder to sell to new players when the vast majority of people they meet will want to play Extended, at least initially. A short term bandaid for this issue is to price new releases more competitively (in points terms) than conversion kit stuff. This allows new players access to really strong stuff without delving into the back-catalog.

I'm not saying everything is priced that way right now, but as they adjust, that's a target they could reasonably shoot for.

Latest GSP talked extensively about sloppy play on a stream game at GSP Classic.

Because it's not the first time hes pulled this type of thing on their stream. Go on their YouTube channel and search sam vs darwin and watch him k-turn off a rock, then next round twist his template 20 degrees so that he doesn't re land on that same rock after another k-turn. Or maybe he was just tired and drunk (after 3 rounds and more non existant alcohol)

#shotsFired, but yeah the sloppy play is not appreciated anywhere

Watched the game, fast and loose confirmed.

Wow...the hostilities here make me not want to be in these forums. It's just a game with little plastics ships guys.

I'm sorry that calling out poor sportsmanship upsets you @Arc170Chris , if it's too much for you to read I understand. When you spend time in a hobby there is modicum of respect you give and expect in return.

that wasn't directed at you specifically. I'm not sure why you take it as such. Just a general statement. Who cares if someone is showcasing poor sportsmanship, it's just a game. Ignore them and do something productive and fun. Highlighting them only makes you look just as petty over something that's suppose to a fun game with tiny plastic ships. lol.... jeeeezzzz....

It is, and it is a fun game. But the plastic ships are moved around by people and that is what counts and matters. When you get a person acting out in your local, you'll understand better.

We've had that. we call him/her out when it happens, but it's in fun. If he/she keeps doing it, then we ignore them and no one wants to play with them. Definitely no need to start flame wars on internet forums. :)

This is far from a flame war, but otherwise we're agreed and that's what's happening right now. It just also leaked out in a thread where this person was talking **** about people on the forum (skip to the beginning for context).

Would you like yet another video to watch where he blatantly cheats?

Wow. The other guy was even ready to move for him, and he pushed his template out of the way.

Sure.

Which thread is that?

Looks like he deleted his posts, but it was this:

That post also happens to be on page one of this thread, here

Ah perhaps I missed it, but yeah.

Yikes. I'm a pretty easy going player, but that example is pretty egregious.

I have no dog in the fight, but the final of GSC was unfortunately sloppy. Its a really interesting list that was fun to watch him fly, even with the sloppiness.

12:25: After combat ends he "checks for range" for some reason to see if his K-turn next round will fit. He even uses the range 2 ruler which is exactly the distance of a 4 K-turn.

15:30: Some shady "fixing" of his ship that got bumped.

18:40: Checks "range" again on a ship that plainly has nobody in arc just to see if his K-turn will send him off the board.

Look at the person in question's way of expressing himself on these forums, and you might understand why the tone in this thread is not that forgiving. I guess a certain threshold of patience was crossed here.

Yes. That came across as quite bizarre, tbh. I didn't take offence. I was more amused.

Interestingly, he was on last week's Krayt podcast to talk about getting to the final. Saying the same sort of things.
