PC intelligence dossier

By player2784035, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

Hi all,

I am just about to start the final chapter of my epic 15 year campaign! My opening gambit is going to be to have my players take the roles of Imperial ISB Interrogators and to ‘debrief’ a captured very-long-term NPC, in order gain insight on the players.

I was really hoping to give each of my guys a Top Secret “ISB Intelligence Dossier” on their characters. I think it would be a really indulgent means for me to remind them of all their great crimes against the Empire as well as bring them up to date on the events of the last few years in the Galaxy.

Problem is, I just *cannot* find a template or pdf that would look the part. Does anyone have any resources they could share?

Thanks very much

To be honest, even if anyone has a generic “sci-fi” type dossier, I’ll take it!

The Imperial Handbook has a few examples.. or I could be thinking of the bounty postings for Mon Mothma and Skywalker etc...

Name, aliases, known associates, activities, planet of birth, ship name(s), previous convictions etc

Just off the top of my head....

To help compress it, avoid insanity, and unnecessary real world conflict, you can summarize things.

-Alphanumeric codes can cover everything from DNA to skin color.

-"See file______ for more information" can be used to keep summary information short.

-"Level 3 clearance required, see your security office for access" can also avoid unnecessary information, or to hint the Empire may know more.

Take a look over on the D6 Holocron . I've been using variations of the ones in Cracken's Threat Dossier, Wanted by Cracken, and the like.

Hi everyone, that’s some really great advice all around. Fantastic resources at D6 Holocron I didn’t know about!

In the end I’ve had a stab at making my own dossier and it’s going fairly well but I am absolutely going to add on a *tonne* from GhostOfMan! Great advice and I absolutely love the “above clearance level” or “see file xyz idea”. Brilliant.

I’ll post the final project, if you’re interested.

Thanks again.

Yes, please post. I am tinkering with a similar idea, but only for one player. That is I can go with a generic bounty posting.

Aargh! Why can’t I upload more than 1/2Mb?!

Never used imgur before. Any and all feedback very, very welcome.

Obviously there’s a load of content in there that should mean an awful lot to my players. It’ll be a good laugh for them to see it from the perspective of the Empire, trying to make sense of all the players adventures over the last 15 years!

That is incredibly awesome. Hard to imagine a better tribute to a long run game. ?

?

Thanks!!

Its the first scene of the game, so I want to players to feel immersed and involved in the world straight away. After the interrogation we’re going to cut out to a number of short scenes of the major events in their lives of the last five years, culminating in the rescue of this character! Then, guess what, as the interview ends the players characters turn up. And then we’re off on the final chapter proper!!
