What future Empire units?

By Cavkov, in Star Wars: Legion

Left handed people die on average 5 years before a similar right handed person so really making life better for you lads just isn't worth it.

also do you KNOW how annoying it is to want some scissors and to grab them and THEN find out some LEFT HANDED WEIRDO put some of his WEIRDO SCISSORS in the scissor place?

:P

I would also love to see both Thrawn and also the Noghri warriors.

I know that Thrawn is a Grand Admiral, but he is known for his melee and marksman combat.

Awesome thanks! But I would still love to have a real Thrawn expansion :)

For thrawn maybe an ability to see the top x order tokens in the opponents stack. That could also be a force upgrade

They had metal minis of Thrawn and Noghri for D6 (and Palpatine in Legion) so why not? One of the few minis I never collected for that game... I think I actually did grab Thrawn to paint as an alternate imperial squad leader but then I misplaced his blister pack. I think. Course you have to remember when they made the blister packs "The Noghri" and "Heir to the Empire Villains", those books were brand new hot stuff and there was almost no other EU to draw from. Nowadays novel characters will draw stiff competition for casting time from things like cartoon shows and over three times the films we had.

I would like an announcement for Sandtroopers and Dewbacks along side Hoth Troopers and Tauntauns.

I also hope FFG reads these threads and notices how many times the request for an actual squad of Imperial Navy Troopers appears and I really hope that we aren't going to be limited the the single Navy Trooper being released in the Generic Specialist pack. Honestly I don't want to buy 7 packs to form a full "stand-in" squad. WEG miniatures offered a squad of Imperial Navy Troopers and we even got one on an E-Web. If I am not mistaken. (If I am mistaken I have no doubt Tauntaun Scout will know) ;)

There were 5 navy troops, one of which was designed to "fit" the loose e-web model they made, plus a rifleman and 3 pistoliers... There were 4 army troops (think ROTJ AT-ST pilot) and 1 generic officer. Tarkin could be painted as a 2nd officer, Thrawn as a 3rd, and Palleon (sp?) provided a 4th officer. 1 TIE fighter pilot, 1 death star gunner.

7 droids: a probe droid, a death star droid, a gonk, R2, 3PO, IG-88, R5-D4.

1 snowtrooper, 1 scout trooper, 1 sand trooper, 13 stormtroopers.

1 Hoth rebel, plus Han in Hoth gear and 1 tauntaun riding Hoth rebel, 6 Endor rebels (including one billed as The Merc PC) plus Endor Leia, 1 weird armored rebel (based on a MacQuarrie concept sketch and billed as the Scout PC), 7 rebel fleet troops.

2 gamorreans, 2 noghri, 1 jawa, 1 2 ewoks, 3 t'wieleks, 3 wookies, 2 rodians... yep, I have the whole line memorized. I know all the figures, which ones were originally released with each title in which boxed set, and mostly I know exactly what was re-released in each blister pack. I do get a little fuzzy on the specifics of some of the numbered blister packs. For example I know which all groupings of 3 stormtroopers were packaged together, and I know what was in ST's # 1 and # 4, but I don't recall which assortment of 3 came in ST's # 2 vs # 3. And I don't recall exactly which 12 stormtroopers came in the later re-issued big troops blister except that it contained the "lost" pose of kneeling trooper that went missing after the discontinuation of the boxed sets. Other than the Rancor this was the only figure that didn't eventually get a re-issue in the era of small blisters, and even the "lost" stormtrooper eventually came back. But West End couldn't sell rancors very well so even though they were officially discontinued, you could find them on FLGS shelves or mail order them from West End right up until the bitter end. This means all the D6 rancors were from the early production runs and so are made of lead, therefore they are HEAVY friggin' models!

I guess it's possible that not every possible Spacetrooper pose was re-issued (you built them from arm sprues and a few different bodies) now that I think about it. But "they all look alike to me" so it's hard to say. Love them to death but they were UGLY miniatures. I suspect these were randomly packaged from the original assortment but I'd have to score several mint blisters to be sure. Even then who knows, WEG blisters frequently had huge packaging errors. It would take official confirmation from a Grenadier/Simtac employee (or find an old memo) to be certain if/what/when Spacetrooper poses were re-issued. Or y'know. A ton of mint blisters to get a statistically significant sampling.

I could go on for hours like this.

:(

Such is my madness.

Life is hard for zero G assault troopers ( untill 1 minute in)

The Naval Trooper in the Personnel expansion does make me slightly worried that we won't get them as a Corps unit.

However, the Rebel Comms Trooper does look like a Commando without a helmet, so so there's still some hope for them.

FFG's prior obsession with hardshell humans in IA worries me on this point.

Such an awesome game!

I want Star Wars Rebels characters, especially The Inquisitor.

Ewoks.

actually i don't think that is a naval trooper. the armor, helmet, and uniform look more like Agent Kallus's ISB agent outfit, just with some extra gear.

and it would make more sense to see an Internal Security Bureau Officer to be packaged alongside a regular Imperial Officer.

Except that it is 100% exactly a naval trooper and does not have kallus's helmet or armor...
