I can’t figure out how/if this works. I would be happy if you reference me to the right spot in the rulebook.

Sabine already has white evades, but if she would take her focus into red evade action, while being in R1 of an obstacle, would the red evade in the linked action become white?

What i think is that it doesn’t work because the focus->evade is a different action from a red evade, but i can’t find the confirmation atm. ?

Yes, it would. The red linked evade is still a red evade, and Debris Gambit doesn't distinguish between a red basic action and a red linked action.

Consider also composure, as you'll often be in a position to choose a roll or boost that will fail and get a free focus action.

Wow this is really strong then. She can have 3 actions and stay unstressed, basically. And for a pretty low cost at that.

i initially considered juke on her, which is great too unless you face higher PS and have to evade. But Gambit seems really nice too.

She can't focus into red evade, she barrel rolls into red evade. Unless the app and website are wrong or i missed something

Correct, but this happens before you move and outside her action window, so she takes a focus as her action after she moves (assuming she's not stressed.)

No, but with Composure she can intentionally fail a pre-maneuver boost for a focus, then maneuver and take an evade action during the perform action step.

Can she really do it though. Can she chain the Red evade (turned white by Gambit) to her pre-move barrel roll?

if she does, then it’s not a problem. She will be able to take the focus as her normal action.

Yep, RRG under "Linked Action":

"A linked action can be performed after performing the action it is attached to even if that action was granted by a card effect or other game effect."
