What is going to be legal in wave 1 launch party events? Is there any official answer? I know the difference between 2e and extended, but launch party is wave 1? Does that mean no saws/reaper?

depends on the event organizer. the official FFG launch party kit only uses core set items. But some venues are doing full blown tournaments. So it would be up to the organizer to let you know what they are doing.
