Looking for a long lost X Wing practice tool

By Shockley, in X-Wing

I used to use this site up until about 6 month ago when I lost the bookmark. I'll do my best to describe it in text but may have a print out that I could scan in if that helps. I think it may have been hosted on github or a similar website.

Basically, the site allowed you to "fly"generic templates around a full scale board with asteroids while being able to edit each turn. In the center of the screen was the game board. On the right you could select the size and color of the template that you wanted to use. Movement was controlled by using a drop down box. You could go back and change the movements for individual templates.

This website was perfect for practicing openings and controlling spacing. It is one of the reasons that I became one of the best swarm players at my local game shop. Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Not sure if the browser-based version is still supported, but you may want to check out this topic:

Or maybe Squadron Benchmark?

Neither one of those. It has a very simple interface. I'll try to find the print out that I had (used it when I was a new player to study).

If anyone has transparent pictures of templates, asteroids, and bases I could probabaly recreate the same concept in powerpoint.

Vassal?
