Cikatro Vizago 2.0 and Cloaking Device

Is there anything preventing Cikatro swap a Cloaking device with an illicit upgrade on a large base ship?

Other than Cloaking Device's own on card limitation to Small or Medium ships?

Which is relevant in the squad building phase only if I am not mistaken.

I think that's the root of the question: Do the card's list building restrictions have to be followed during an in-game swap?

Exactly, and although the card was FAQed in 1.0 we have nothing about it in 2.0

At the moment, it would only affect Rigged Cargo chutes going to small base ships, or Cloaking Devices to large ones... but that could still cause some serious mayhem with some unexpected swaps.

Consider, if you will, a YV-666 de-cloaking with a sudden lateral move, or bringing a quadjumper or two in, to dump cargo through all the flight lanes...

I was thinking more about the 1 straight decloak.
You realize how far and fast the scum falcon can move by decloak 1 straight - move 4 straight - boost...
Even the YV-666 can now cover the same distance as an A-wing/TIE interceptor that moved 5 and boosted one straight!

Not to mention 4 defense dice on a ship that has 8 hull and 2 shields is just wrong!

Hmm. YV-666 with Jabba, Cit, stealth, and Rigged. Quad jumper or a Z with Cloak. Sounds like fun.

If you spend a turn prepping you could use Cit to pit cloak on say an Agressor, then in your next turn if the cloak held you could move it to your OTHER Agressor :)

Cit doesn't have to be on a ship doing the swap.

If we are only interested in cloaking device, you can put something cheap on the YV-666 and a cloaking device on the nashtah pup, and no need for a second ship, right?

Unfortunately, that wouldn't work: both ships would need to be deployed to have the upgrades swapped, and the Nashtah Pup can only deploy via emergency deployment (meaning your Hound's Tooth would already be dead).

Yeahhh, was just coming back here to correct my post as I'd realized that. Oh well! The "at range 0-1" factor sort of nixes that.

If you have a ship with Cloaking Device on it, then cloak with that ship, what happens to the cloak if the Cloaking Device is swapped to another ship with Cikatro?

That's the best part: absolutely nothing happens to the cloak token. It sticks around. Plus, you no longer risk losing it unexpectedly from a bad roll on Cloaking Device.

Of course, the down-side is that you can't re-cloak once you decloak. But it can still lead to some interesting plays.

It remains cloaked until you decide to decloak.
