Failed Actions and Jam

By Ccwebb, in X-Wing Rules Questions

Sorry for a post that is most likely answers already.

I finally got the core and rebel conversion! Thinning through the rules I have a question about failed actions: Where is it? Where does it discuss failed actions?

also, I thought Jam action was range 1-2. According to the rules it’s range 1. Wow.

Rules Reference available on the main Second Edition site has the answer to your first question in the Fail section. As for Jam, it is only range one with the exception of the Free Lance Slicer ability (can give someone attacking the ship it is on a jam token in exchange for a target lock the defender has on the attacker at the risk of jamming the defender as well) and the Jamming Beam cannon slot upgrade which is front arc range 1-2 and has the potential of giving the target up to 3 jam tokens (4 at range 1) depending on how the attacker's roll and defender's roll work out.

To get the rules reference:

https://www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/products/x-wing-second-edition/

It is the first available download in the rules portion of the support section of the page.

In first edition it's range 1 or range 1-2 in arc. The latter half was removed in second edition.
