Coordinate Insanity

By GreeneScale, in X-Wing

I was playing around with Lieutenant Sai and realize how incredibly action efficient coordinating reinforce could be. And since you're already coordinating st-321 boosts that efficiency more. Here was a list I found:

"Duchess" — TIE Striker 42
Ship Total: 42
Lieutenant Sai — Lambda-Class Shuttle 47
Advanced Sensors 8
Agent Kallus 6
ST-321 6
Ship Total: 67
Rear Admiral Chiraneau — VT-49 Decimator 88
Shield Upgrade *
Ship Total: 91

Basically the game plan is: have chirpy go one range ahead of Sai, every round coordinate reinforce to chirpy and get reinforce on sai and a target lock, then chirpy takes target lock to get the rerolls. Both big parts of the list have almost full mods on offense and defense. Then duchess flanks. Adv sensors is for bumps or red moves.

The one item I'll note is that Advanced Sensors does not work with Sai's ability. The text specifically says you cannot perform any more actions that round. Thus, Advanced Sensors to Coordinate will prevent Sai from performing any free actions later.

But yeah, Sai is an early contender for my favorite Lambda pilot. With ST-321, each Coordinate is basically three actions for the price of one.

Yeah, advanced sensors is a bit iffy, but it still gets you two actions which is a heck of a lot better than none.

Minor note: It's not "that round", it's "during your activation". You can still do actions after you're done moving.

You are correct about Advanced Sensors disabling Sai's ability and the title, though.

I like the list combo overall, not sure if advanced sensors is worth the points when it shuts down Sai's action stacking. Collision detector could be a good option, it'll let Sai stay at range of RAC more often as the Deci is much more manoeuvrable than the Lambda. Collision Detector now ignores all effects of obstacles so you still get your action after you use it to move over a rock.

The st 321 still works with adv sensors because it is just acquire a lock which isn't an action

but yeah collision detect could be interesting and cheaper, to upgrade duchess a bit maybe
