Lure of the Expanse - some clarifications

By Brother Praetus, in Rogue Trader Rules Questions

While I was going through my copy of Lure of the Expanse , I noticed what appeared as a few typos and some possible omissions within the book. So, I decided to ask the Devs about these little bits I noticed. Here were the points of interest I asked about;

  1. The Witchblade is published with a weight of 40kg; was that correct?
  2. The Starcannon Macrobatteries are described as utilizing plasma technology, so should they have had the vapourisation rule that the Ryza pattern has in RT?
  3. The entry for the Excess Void Armor does not list any benefit, merely the bad effects. Looking over the one published ship in the book which has it, it would appear to provide a +3 to the ships Armor, would that be correct?

Below are the answers I received:

Hello Mr. [You don't need to know my name lengua.gif ],

The weight is a typo. It should be 4 kg.

The Starcannon Macrobattery should not have the vapourisation rule, as Eldar weapons (while more advanced) do not adhere to the 'brute force' approach of Imperial weaponry. Instead, they are smaller, safer, and require substantially less power draw.

Good catch on the excess void armour, that is also a typo! Yes, it grants a benefit of +3 armour.

Glad you enjoy the book, and thanks for bringing that to my attention! Take care,
