Hideous Guardian has the following Disrupt Ability:

Before another character you control is wounded, place the wound token(s) on Hideous Guardian instead of on the wounded character.

How does this interact with all the Gug characters? Can I still use their responses because they still get wounded and only the wound tokens are placed on the guardian? I am just not sure about this.

The answer to your question is that the Hideous Guardian takes the wound instead of another character. It does not interact with the Gugs, who usually trigger off of themselves being wounded.
