After my first attempt at stormtroopers seemed to be a bit off the mark I thought I would try having a crack at a commander so here is the finished product. Again any criticism or pointers welcome.
Stormtrooper commander
It's quality work. He's a bit gritty and battle worn for my taste, but the blue is well executed as is the weathering.
Really dig the weathering. Looking very battle-worn.
I like the blue, I'm planning a yellow striping theme for my Imperials, similar to this. I like the one-leg accent.
Nice work. I like the detail on your trooper and the shade of blue chosen. If they all carry that design you will have an impressive squad.

Is it just me....or is this NOT the ST commander?(or is it painted with markings from Clone Wars as a commander?)
Agree with the others... well done... pretty war torn. I like that... I just cannot do it well.. so most of my stuff is usually pretty clean.

I'm thinking of trying a snowtrooper squad with the same colouring aswell but maybe a little less war torn.

Looks like the 501st (Vader's fist) commander to me
I think it matches pretty well.

I was talking about the figure itself, I wondered if the original poster had the wrong figure as the platoon 'commander'.

if both you and your opponent can identify a unit commander then there is no reason to have it always be the miniture with the large pauldron though. but I get what you mean.

Right here is my snowtrooper. I wasn't to sure on the blue to start off with but after finishing it i can say i am really happy with. Just hope I can get the others to look the same now. I have also ordered the scout troopers and can't wait to get my hands on them. Please let me know your opinions on it.

I think it looks good. It's nice to see what can be done when you venture from the white/off-white canon scheme.
