I know it isn't a fighter craft, though likely due to the Rogue Squadron games, I'd love to see the ship added to the game. What about everyone else? Would it be too much to see it as an option, even if they even made some note of it being a customized T-47 that was capable of space flight? Do you want to see it in game like I do? Or do you think they should keep it for some kind of campaign/objective expansion set that focused on missions and involved turbo laser emplacements and AT-STs and AT-ATs in scale with X-Wing?
T-47, Yay or Nay?
The space version of the T-47 is already in the game. It is called the A-Wing...
Can Imperials have flying AT-ATs, then? Or maybe Speeder Bikes ridden by Zero-G troopers?
Seriously, though, I think vehicles like the T-47 are better suited for Legion.

I’d love a flying AT-AT, and not the head thing. The full monty with a cargo hold that a ship docks in. ?

Would the legs still move as if it's doggy paddling through space?
Nay, we got it in Legion.

Make it so!
While I don't think it will ever happen, I do still wish that the V-Wing Airspeeder will one day make it into the game, so I can't rightly deny the T-47.
Yeah T-47 are in ground not space and X-wing strictly speaking is a space game.
Now I wish that FFG makes an AT-AT for their game Legion which is still a confusing but that would be the chance for T-47 and AT-AT in play.
It won't, it is ridiculously small at X-wing scale (think of it as the size of a car, compared with a fighter jet). They would have to introduce Tiny bases.
As much as I'd love to see one, I'd rather keep with the "space formula" that is Star Wars. And the T-47 does not fit into that formula (yet).

What? They have like...nothing in common.
I'd love to see the T-47 in the game. Doesn't matter if it's atmospheric only. We already have the Hoth map with is space and ground themed.
I'd love a Hoth scenario pack for X-Wing, but I guess it might be better suited to one of the other games now, since they have so many other miniatures games now.
I'm not too bothered by atmospheric ships being atmospheric, since the difference has never seemed to matter much in Star Wars. Put down a game mat showing a planet instead of space when you play and it'd still feel right I think (okay, and maybe some obstacle variants).
The fact that the T-47 hasn't happened by this point is probably proof that they'll never do it, but I'll say that I'd accept it. I used to confuse it and the A-Wing when I was a kid, so it doesn't even really occur to me that the snowspeeder isn't a spacecraft. ;P
Despite only beeing an atmosphere craft the T-47 is really small. Like B-Wing cockpit size small.

It's to scale. The problem is, that there are several different sizes around regarding the A-Wing.
I'd like T-47s. And T-16s. And Bespin Cloud Cars -- all movie canon ships we deserve.
In one of the Vader comics, Cloud Cars are shown operating in orbit, so I couldn't care less about the "Waaah, they're air speeders!" crowd.
The problem with t47 are that his engines burn fuel with an ossidation reaction. No oxigen and the engine die. It is an airspeeder. Most of starfighter have a fusion/fission power source, and a ion flux/plasm core power system which give them the punch to boast shield and navy grade weapons. Clone Wars era starfighter and most of air and ground based weapon are just blaster cannons. When we come to true starfighter we have high power laser cannon, with ranges of tens of clicks, and turbolaser, which deliver more heavy shots on targets. By the way in legends some T47 were effectively modified through Cloackshape Starfighter spare parts to be space capable. But those were almost Uglies for it was more a rebuilt than a refit

How else would it perform melee attacks at range 0?
