My model of Luke Skywalker from the core set has a slight droop to its lightsaber. I've gently tried bending it back, but the plastic doesn't want to hold the new position. Any ideas to get it back to straight? I'm used to working with metal or resin models, so my experience with plastic is minimal.
Luke's "Droopy" lightsaber
Dip it in hot water (not boiling) and bend it back, let it cool.
Can also warm it with a hair dryer and do the same, I do this but most seem to use the water method.
Mine keeps re-bending in storage. The long term plan is to stop using him once the generic rebel officer hits store shelves. *shrug*
The LTP book has some tips on modeling/painting including straightening minis.

LTP? Can you spell that out for me? Thanks!
I hear they have meds for problems with droopy lightsabers.

Learn to play book. Came in the core set which you should have since you have Luke.
Mine while I straightened it out still has a bend in it.
I've just accepted it as I gave it **** for a few minutes during model prep, and it is what it is.
Best way to fix luke's droopy lightsaber- replace the whole blade with the tine of a blue transluscent plastic cocktail fork- rigid enough to stab your finger!
The hairdryer solution worked well for me. Once it's flexible, hold it in place until it's totally resolidified.
As long as it not as bad as this, it should be no problem
I was planning on just replacing it with either a toothpick or something similar.
