I played 21 matches with this squad and until now I won 16. Of Course I tried different setups over time.

Some explantations:

10 pt. bid: Our playgroups experience is that a high ini bet is suuuper powerful in 2.0. I rather give up some (not totally necessary) upgrades.

Predator over Fearless: I started with Fearless on both Fangs. I triggered it here and there but it always felt too expensive and too situational. Especially when Teroch is nearly dead.....even with Conc.Face. he doesn't want to be in the arc then. Predator isn't easy to trigger (in particular at r2-r3) either but most of the time I got the reroll at r1. What really makes it shine is that you can trigger it from everywhere and not only when directly facing the opponent. In that case Fenn becomes a better flanker. And predator is 1 pt. cheaper btw.

Palob: He's really defensive with Elusive and L3-37. I started with trick shot which triggered once or twice in 8 games. I know that Lando Crew (spend green token for two rerolls) is powerful an palob but he consumed palobs tokens waaay to fast. My strategy is to store 2 Focus tokens. Get into the fight and aquire a lock. Steal a focus. Spend lock for attack and maybe the stolen focus. I found this better than lando crew (with wich I started). L3-37 is awesome for only 4 pts. because he's a lifesaver and has a nice effect after palobs shields are down. With Elusive and L3-37 Palob is really durable. The Proton Bombs are changing the way your enemy is flying. In two games I played my opponent forgot about the bombs (Hawk bombs) and was surprised as they dropped in system phase.

All in all this squad is really fun to fly. With Palob and Teroch both stealing and removing tokens lots of my opponents took a target lock instead of a focus/evade.

What do you think? Especially about the way Palob is build.

I think your Palob is as strong as he gets. I think. I mean, more play will provide more assurance. But this build is what I have groped my way through the dark to find as well. It really is extremely strong.

Now, wingmates. I've not tried the new Fangs yet, as they were so fragile in 1.0. Sounds like they are rather better now? Or are your opponents ignoring them to focus Palob, letting them flank around at will?

First I thought they were way to overpriced (especially Fenn). But Fenn is so strong. If you can hold them in r1 they are super hard to kill because of the Concordia faceoff buff (+4 dice Fenn). Using predator for offense let you keep the focus for defensive purposes sometimes.

The funny thing about target priority: Most of my opponents were focusing one of the fangs because they underestimated the HWK (thanks to 1.0 ? ). I disengaged quite often with on of the fangs to keep him alive...

2 Fangs + Palob?

Do you know something about their equipment?

Yes, but I’m not sure what the lists were exactly. No bombs as far as I know.

Just Palob stealing my tokens while Teroch and Fenn rushed in.

I had bombs and ion so I put up a fight, but lost on points because I couldn’t get through all their evade dice!

I have only had 3 2.0 games so far (Unbeaten btw ? ) , 2 of which have been with Fenn, Palob and Guri which is very similar. My Palob just had the title and that allowed me to have Guri with outmaneuver and Adv. Sensors. I think we can all agree Palob is incredible no matter what variation you play, for me I used him primarily to steal tokens and block so Fenn can get 5 dice, 1 reroll and Focus attacks on a naked defender and Guri can shoot out of arc with lots of damage potentially . The reason your list could be better on the other hand is because in the end game if they managed to take out both Fangs a Elusive Palob is very good in a 1v1 situation especially if he moves last with rotating his arc. Then again Pablo as last man is still good without it. Guri however with Adv. Sensors is a BEAST!

Guri is an awesome option, yes...

But I don’t know if a smaller bit is worth it...

In my experience so far the bid is extremely important in 2.0

You are right a bid is extremely important and 3 points probably isn't enough for a aces list so what if you drop outmanoeuvre, will 9 points be a big enough bid?

I really like this list. I am a huge Palob fan, but I prefer him with Lando crew.

What could also work is Han instead of Teroch:

Fenn Rau (68)
Predator (2)

Palob Godalhi (38)
Lando Calrissian (Scum) (8)
Moldy Crow (12)

Han Solo (Scum) (54)
Trick Shot (1)
0-0-0 (3)
Greedo (1)
Lando's Millennium Falcon (6)

List is nice and lean. Im looking forward to OldManFenn again. Palob is a good replacement since MoldyCrow is such a steal. L337 crew is how Ive been building Palob. Elusive is a nice touch to make him more annoying to kill.

I like it but think that Han could be pretty hard to trigger. When it comes to Han I’m looking forward to Asajj with hightend perception with her title. Hand out stress-shoot at ini7-tractor-Han shoots at in Ini6 with +1 die. Have to see if that works well.

Have you tried Manaroo?

Yes, just one game so far. Had IG88 crew on her to pass two calc tokens to Fenn so he has offense and defense, or can have a focus and two calcs all for defense if found in a bad spot. JM dial is something you definitely need to plan way ahead for. To rotate that arc stresses you, then you may need to clear the stress and b-roll next round, which stresses you again. All lefts this time out. No more white sloops.

0-0-0 should be a good crew for her as well if using her as a blocker.

Old Teroch (56)
Predator (2)

Manaroo (56)
Intimidation (3)
IG-88D (4)
Tactical Scrambler (2)

Fenn Rau (68)
Predator (2)

One more update:

Played 4 games today (went 3-1). Was up against Fat Han and Wedge. Han has Seasoned Navigator which is sooooo good. My friend dialed in hard maneuvers all the time and changed them into something else (super cool with nien numb). Imo Palob is worth way more than 62 points. I didn't loose him in a single game. He's getting into the fight with 2 focus + TL and a wide firing arc which makes him a potent damage dealer. With his dial he can move quite slow which pairs fairly well with the fast and agile fangs. And even if my opponents tried to kill him - with l3-37 and elusive behind 2 focus he's tanky as ****.

The nice thing is: If my opponent tries to kill palob quick it'll usually takes some time giving the fangs enough room to do damage. If they going after the fangs palob is denying tokens and doing a ton of damage.

Something which strikes me as decent on Manaroo with 0-0-0 is that I think you can choose to trigger Manaroo or 0-0-0 in either order. They're both "start of the Engagement phase" triggers, so you ought to be able to pick the order. No one has a shot on Manaroo? 0-0-0 first, to potentially pass a focus and a calculate to someone else. However, you could use Manaroo first to pass a focus, then end up with a Calculate for yourself.
