Some Legends/EU stuff like Isanne Ysarde and Mara Jade do not make to be in the conversion kit. As such Marek Steel still is not a Force User (and he is, and an Emperor's Hand too..) and Corran Horn and Kyle Katarn... or Jan Ors... you know. There is a chance to have that stuff back? A lot of legends chars are still in... why throw away those?

Ya kinda miffed they canned so many loved and iconic characters. Don't connect with D level canon so it's very less immersive for me.

Except for wave 1 there will be new expacs for all the ships and new pilots for those ships. Can’t say what has been axed yet because they will release more stuff. Converting was weak but technically not lying on their parts. It’s an incomplete method of using old models. But hey at least some things converted I guess so money saved just not near as much as originally thought by many people.

On the other hand, the Ewing has some great rogue squadrons references.

They already stated that the single ship releases will contain additional cards that are not included within the Conversion Kits. Maybe there we will get our EU pilots back.
