More Rebels Finished

By Abwehrschlacht, in Painting

I completed another batch of Rebel troopers for my growing Legion collection. This will give me enough figures for a decent game, there's a couple of pictures and a short explanation about my OOBs on my blog:

Thanks, I'm glad you liked them!

Nice work. Nothing encourages me to keep up with the painting than seeing beautifully painted miniatures posted by someone else. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you, I really appreciate that. I am glad you liked them.

It's one of those ones that makes me wish I was a better painter.

Thanks @TauntaunScout, but these are very easy to paint. It just takes a good brush and steady hand really.

FYI the paints I used for the figures are:

Undercoat with Plastic Soldier Company's Dunklegelb rattlecan.

Camo: blobs overlaid on the undercoat: Vallejo's German Camo Beige, overlaid by blobs of Vallejo's Reflective Green, then Vallejo's Flat Brown blobs.

All the coats like the commanders and the sleeveless ones some are wearing and puttees in Vallejo's Khaki.

The Green on the helmets and square backpacks and other metal equipment is Vallejo's German Uniform.

Ammo pouches and belts are Leather Brown, all greys are Vallejo's Neutral Grey.

Gloves and boots; Vallejo's German Camo Black Brown.

Cloth back packs are either Khaki or Khaki Grey, you guessed it, by Vallejo.

I washed them completely in Army Painter's Strong Shade and just highlighted the skin, Khaki and Green Backpacks by drybrushing in the colour mixed with white. The rest I left as they were. I hope this helps.

Well then it proves how far a fully finished base can go too! Still, you put a lot more steps/colors into them than I do with my Legion stuff.

Oh yes, I always make sure the bases are finished. These are done with PVA glue and static grass, I then add grass tufts and the like from some sets I bought on EBay.

Wow... very nice!

Thank you!

Love the paint job! Nice work!

Thank you!

Like the bases :)

very well painted also

Cheers bud!
