He hits like a truck, also i swapped vtg for ezra gunner, and added prockets to arvel 197 pts. He kites well, and if they surround him his output goes crazy.

By the way dont use saw if you have the crit that makes all further hits crits...its bad....its very bad...

He's strong, but wow, that is one expensive ship. 141 points is a painful number.

No Bistan? You are not going to be able to kill enough with that build.

Hes 151 the way i was flying

This is the final build i was using

Having force helps for defence, when you are surrounded save it to shoot twice

You can lock and use saw as a hard focus

What's the average ship count of lists that you've faced with that?

I have to agree that Bistan is r e a l l y strong on Dash. I flew Dash with PerCo/Title/TS/Bistan and Dutch with ExHan/VetTurGUn/ICT. 2 ships, yes, but 4 attacks with a reasonable amount of modifiers. I don't know if he could have shot fast enough otherwise

Have any of y'all run into issues with local tournament organizers ruling that Dash's pilot ability means the Outrider second ability doesn't proc (meaning that Dash's pilot ability prevents him clearing a stress after moving over an asteroid)? Because that's where I'm at now at my FLGS.

I just realized that Outrider can remove locks, neat

Yup, or un stress with a white over or on a rock ?

Ouch... I can see that, RAW. It would seem Dash’s ability might need to be reworded to “ignore the effects of obstacles.”

Seems right to me, you ignore obstacles.

Why would it only ignore the negative effects of moving through?

"While you move, you ignore obstacles." - Dash Rendar Ability

"While a ship executes a maneuver, if it moves through or overlaps an
obstacle , it executes its maneuver as normal but suffers an effect based on
the type of obstacle:" - rules reference (page 13) for obstacles

"... After you fully execute a maneuver, if you moved through or overlapped an obstacle , you may remove 1 of your red or orange tokens"- Outrider Title

Bolded by me.

Its the same wordage... so if he ignores the effects of asteroids and debris he ignores the second part of outrider.

I don't see what your problem is? its very very clear.

That's wrong.

It would trigger never because of ignoring obstacles every time. You can't decide

I never stated once you could decide? what are you on about.

well, dash's ability says WHILE you move

outrider title says AFTER you fully execute a maneuver, if you MOVED

2 different timing windows?

I'm not saying this is 100% correct, just opens a door to that interperetation

But since when you were moving you ignored them you did not move through any obstacles....

What is the in-game definition of 'ignore'? You DID move through an obstacle, whether you ignored it or not. I don't think it means it isn't there, it just didn't impact you at all. But again, this is real life logic, not in game rules. I can see both sides of the coin.

when will the second part of outrider ever trigger if you ignoring obstacles every time you move trough? never. And this sounds very wrong.

It triggers for all the other YT-2400.... just not dash.

Gnoring something does not negate its existence.

If Dash moved through an obstacle that he ignored, he still moved through it as it was still there on the table for all to see.

Exactly this! The ship still moved through an obstacle, this is a situation where we just need to do what it says on the card and stop over thinking it all.

Did people not learn anything from the Tractor Beam/barrel roll fiasco from 1st edition??

"Oh but you still moved through an obstacle , you should take damage"

Same argument could be made guys.

The argument here is basically you want to ignore the negative effects but still gain the positive effects.

Yes. But I would drop “negative” and insert “standard.” The other way to look at it is that damage etc. is are effects that come from the obstacle that is being ignored; while the happy effects stem from the title that is not being ignored.

I am much more likely to play vs. Dash than run him, but I still think he gets to eat his cake.

The problem comes from “ignore” not being defined as a game term. It would be cumbersome to list the effects individually and have Dash’s ability not encompass future terrain effects.

It would just be dumb for FFG to make a title for a ship get negated by the special gimick of that ship’s most popular pilot.
