So those little cardboard pieces for the upgraded dials have a ship's icon on them. Does anyone know where I can get all of the icons/images in a pdf or similar?

If you're comfortable with using Publisher or another imaging program, you can create it yourself with the X-Wing Miniatures font. I'm not going to post a link here in case FFG objects, but it is totally legal/open-source and its on GitHub under the same user who made YASB 1.0 (Geordanr).
In the desktop version of the official squad builder, you can find the silhouettes in the Create Custom Format section. Right-click on the image and save it.

I know the old dial upgrade kits have them, I am not so sure about the new ones. They seem to be the repackaged old kit without the silhouettes.

This is because all 2.0 products already come with the silhouettes. The old upgrade kits came out after some of the mini's so they got their silhouettes added to them.

Yeah, I'd figured that. The 2.0 Dial upgrades are the same, I just haven't got a new one so I didn't say if they came with one or not because I wasn't sure.
