My FLGS's X-Wing crew has, for a variety of reasons, been struggling for some time now. Most nights, we have just two; very rarely, we hit four. It's been this way since about Wave 9, I'd guess. It's been...kinda painful. But we kept the lights on. We kept talking to those people who used to come, and who burnt out on TLT's and Ghosts and endless Palp Aces.

Now we have 2.0. And it was good.

It's difficult to advertise purely by word of mouth when you have only three and a half people's mouths talking. We still managed to get twelve pilots into the shop. And they all left HAPPY. The shop owner is hyped about X-Wing again, and wants to run more tournaments, with better prize support - he even wants to play.

Thank you, FFG, for making the game playable again. It is so good to have access to a fun, social hobby once again.

Just slightly related, but you guys might want to consider setting up a Facebook group. My FLGS has a X-Wing FB group and while its not hopping busy, its nice to have some discussion with other players going on when I can't make it to the store for a few weeks, and people posting pics like of the recent Mario Kart one of the guys ran at the store is pretty cool to keep people engaged.

**** good idea. I understand that there is a page started by one erstwhile regular. We use it to advertise, but it does not get much traffic any longer. Perhaps now is the time to really push its renaissance. I should do that. Post pics from last night. Like, right now. Thanks for reminding me!
