Scum ‘No Glory’

By Ravenhull, in X-Wing Squad Lists

‘Was trying out options in the squad builder, and the ‘No Glory’ variant. Got this, which feels quite usable. Munitions Failsafe because APT is a single charge weapon. Tried to keep bullseye in mind with the M12.

Also, I know I’m not the best player/list builder, and I’m here just trying to learn, so can we lay off the “what kind of idiot are for this” replies?

M12-L Kimogila Fighter - Cartel Executioner - 74 Cartel Executioner - (44) Marksmanship (1) Proton Torpedoes (9) Proton Rockets (7) R5 Astromech (5) Rigged Cargo Chute (4) Shield Upgrade (4)

StarViper-class Attack Platform - Black Sun Assassin - 62 Black Sun Assassin - (48) Fearless (3) Fire-Control System (3) Adv. Proton Torpedoes (6) Munitions Failsafe (2)

(Also, used the ‘share to forum’ option, still had to tweak the text it gave to make it readable, in my opinion.)

This seems really good! I like the combination of Prockets and Protons on the M12. Marksmanship is always improving stuff (and because you stip their mods) you can absolutely roast everything whether you have a secondary or primary shot (plus double crits on the Proton shot is gold).

My one main suggestion would be to maybe switch R5 to R4 on the M12. You really want to be taking lock actions when using torpedoes, or dropping your Rigged Cargo (not the most meta choice but I love off meta stuff so go Rigged cargo!) because the M12 always needs more green. Giving yourself more options to stay on people with more benefits is always good (and counteracting the red dial). On the other hand if you don't find yourself wanting for actions and can afford to spend them on keeping your damage down, R5 is a fantastic option.

Best,

Did you consider Expert Handling instead of Marksmanship on the Kimo? It would help get the bullseye lined up more often (white b-roll instead of red). Looks like fun though.

Best,

Sadly R4 is small base only. :( R3 might be nice if Raven is willing to part with the regen from R5.

OH thats right! I forgot the M12 is medium base now my bad (I was wondering how a small base got rigged cargo...)

Easy enough to do. I've gotten caught by the size changes a couple of times. :)

The R4 issue threw me off at first because I hadn’t notice ‘small base only’ till I wondered why I couldn’t use it.

Swapping in Expert Handling for Marksmenship sounded cool, though I had to swap out R5 for R3 to pay for it. But, double locks might be good.

I could see either way. Personally I would prefer marksmanship to make sure your shots are the most effective they can be. In 1e the Kimogila tended to die pretty quick, so allowing it to absolutely brutalize its target and then leave the star vipers to close and not get shot ever and roast everything that should be mostly dead by then.

I feel like it's less of a "get your missle off before death" kind of ship in 2e, but I haven't played it. In 1e the barrel roll often wasn't enough to get you the arc (I found) but maybe thats different in 2e. Its 2e! Anything Goes!

If it doesn't work you could always swap it back to Marks+R5. Have fun. :)
