It feels sorta sacreligious to throw out 100's of dollars worth of stuff... any point to keeping it?
What to do with 1.0 stuff

Yup, I am keeping it. No one knows what future brings - for example there are still people playing old editions of WFB, paying good money for old rulebooks, models and accessories.
Same thing can happen with X-Wing 1.0.
At the moment, if you want to play with Epic ships, it's all 1.0; I haven't cracked open my 2.0 boxset yet, but I'm hoping there are scenarios - I find that these are the best ways to introduce someone to the game.
which means, if the new kit doesn't have scenarios, then I'm 100% keeping stuff.
Finally, coming into all of this the second time round means that I'm wise to the FFG ways, I might only need two conversion kits and a couple of individual sets to do what I need to.
You can convert them to usable energy by applying a bit of fire to them.
I'm keeping it. I think regionals is still 1.0 and I want enough for epic. I did pack up everything except the first order and resistance stuff.
I’m keeping it to play with a friend who’s on the fence, but it’s just going in a box. No more nice sorters or organizers for you, 1.0! Now go sit in the corner and think about what you’ve done.
All of my stuff is going in a box, I'll keep it in case some friends of mine may keep playing 1.0 (they never went beyond wave 8) and I want to join in for fun now and then. Otherwise, it'll sit on a shelf until the wife gets tired of it and throws it away without asking me...
Keeping and playing with it. Maybe forever.
I'm keeping it for now, but it'll probably all be tossed or given to someone who wants 14 waves of 1.0 dials, ships, upgrades, and pilots.
Keeping. But it’s just shoved in the loft.
Pilot cards have been donated to my 5 year old - he loves going through the pictures and playing the odd bit of pilot-stat top trumps!
I'm in the process of converting my stuff. I think I actually like some of the 1st ed tokens better than the 2nd ed ones, like the ship numbering markers and target locks and such, so I might keep some of those in with the current stuff. Also since there aren't nearly enough of the new shield markers I'll be keeping a bunch of them around too.
I'm taking all the old stuff out of the SW-themed FFG sleeves and putting them in older plain sleeves. Those, along with all the dials and tokens and other stuff I'm not going to keep using will go in a big shoebox (this is one of those times I'm thankful to have fairly big feet!) and stored in my basement. It is POSSIBLE that I sell it off down the road if demand on eBay reaches a certain level, but it's more likely that I just keep it down there indefinitely, along with a bunch of other semi-obsolete gaming stuff I've collected over the years.
It’s all in a box awaiting the future of epic, or who knows what else.
Not hurting anything yet, so we shall see. Maybe it’ll eventually be gone if everything is all fully 2.0-ized even epic
In our club, there is plenty of people who will keep playing 1.0.
Even if they wouldn't I would still keep the 1.0 stuff because you never know what's coming next. Maybe 2.0 will become utter crap and you would like to go back to the times, where we have had Jumpmasters, Token Stack, Biggs and Palpatine.
So, yeah. I am keeping both. It's just some cardboard and paper.
I just loaded all my 1.0 card board and such into a box... not sure what i'll do with it yet..
I managed to cram it all in my TFA core box.
you got a match stick somewhere im guessing.
I was going to keep it around but...why... 1.0 was such a hot mess toward the end nobody is ever going to look it up in the future and want to replay it like some people do in 40k with 3rd edition.
