I thought we were getting an app, not a web page

So, yes, I realize that it is a web app (I've written software for over 25 years) but I thought were were getting a mobile app. One that does not require internet connection unless it needed an update. I can foresee tournaments, the wifi goes down, no one can access their lists. Are we eventually actually getting a mobile app?

Update: Visiting the site on a mobile device, invites you to "Download X-Wing app", however it doesn't install or download the app. If the devs happen to get to read this....

at the bottom of the ffg article it says something like "app coming soon"

Even the app is online only. It doesn't store ANYTHING. Cards, squads, formats, everything is being downloaded on the fly, that's why the insufferable load times every time you open a tab, and that's why it's completely unusable offline - can't build a squad, can't browse cards, can't load a saved squad.

Derp. Evidently the Android version hit the play store about an hour ago.

Yeah, just saw in the squadbuilder help forum that the Android version is out. I'm ios, so I haven't seen it yet.

Only for your browser, not an actual mobile app. I'm waiting to buy anything until there is full support. I've spent almost $2k on X-Wing. Not spending another penny until I can at least have an app on my phone and tablet that will sync.

I have it installed on my phone. Unless by "not an acuatl mobile app" you mean that it's basically just a website in its functionality.

Yeah, it's just a browser window. You can't view anything without an internet connection. Turn off your wifi and your mobile data and try and use it.

It's got bad reviews so it's hard to find. Look for "X-wing Squad Builder by FFG"

I searched for "X-wing Squad Builder by FFG" plenty of results but none for that application. I scrolled through them all. So, instead, I picked "Star Wars: Imperial Assault aap" by Fantasy Flight Games. I then went to the section where it lists "Fantasy Flight Games" apps, tapped "more". Got a list of all their apps, no "X-Wing Squad Guilder by FFG".

Maybe I'm just a moron.

I cannot find it on my phone's play store either but clicking on this link on the computer I was able to force the download to my phone...

Yep, I had to do the same. Finally got it installed. However, on a first run internal test, they might should have made sure it was easy to find on a mobile device. Oh, well, it's there now.

Looks like there's some incorrect italics tags all throughout the app.

And I kinda wish the Collection feature would take into account those of use bringing 1.0 ships. Right now you can only select 2.0 content.
