Competitive Scum ships 2.0

Hi everyone,

With 2.0 i intend to come back into the hobby, and switch from my Imperials to the Scum faction for tournament play. So, making my shopping list, what old ships do I need? Am I right assuming that a conversion kit will allow me to use any 1.0 ship without issue?

Is there any consensus yet on which ships look strong, and which less so?

No consensus that means much yet but:

  • Fang Fighter (Protectorate in 1st Ed.) look really solid. The cheapest generics get some really good linked actions with a great dial. Fenn Rau should be a monster. 5 dice is going to kill things dead in 2nd Ed.
  • Not having a Quadjumper would be a shame. They got real cheap and should still be a ton of fun.
  • HWK's look surprisingly solid but be aware the Scum conversion kit does not contain the Moldy Crow title. Make friends with someone that is buying multiple rebel kits.
  • Firesprays look really, really promising as well.

Scum has okay options. Talonbane Cobra is a great overlooked option. (Though Wedge is even better)
