At the day fo the release of 2.0, what are your projected things that you wil buy today ?
What are you buying today ?
Core set preorder at ffg. My other stuff was done via preorder online so I’ll see one of each conversion kit plus scum falcon make its way to me within a week.
Core, conversion x3, Lando’s Falcon, y-wing, x-wing, Fang fighter. Slave one.
Nothing. I got it all at GenCon. Sorry guys.
I might buy a third A-wing, though. I mean, I have the dial, though I might need it in trade attempts.
Core, Imperial and Rebel conversion kits, 2 X-wings for sure.
I might cave and get the Scum kit and the new Falcon... still debating if I want to convert my scum stuff day 1
Core set and one of each conversion kit.
My FLGS even emailed me to confirm it’s all there and put aside for me including promo damage deck etc.
Nothing like pleasing customer service to calm the release day nerves. 2.5 hours of work to go and it’ll be in my hands
Core Set + Rebel Conversion Kit (pre-ordered) for my wife. I'll play with her toys until Sequel Core Set and Conversion Kit arrives.
I'm not actually BUYING anything today. I've had Core set and 2 Conversion Kits (Rebel and Empire) on pre-order for a while though, and I'll be picking them up, assuming the order comes in OK and all.
I donated my gencon core set and conversion kits to my local game hub so everyone could play 2.0. So I'm getting my own sets today.
I'll take this moment to do a brief overview since I received my stuff a day early. Maybe this will convince a few to buy/not buy:
Core set: Pretty much as expected. My X-wing is a little too loose (the wing mechanic). I hope that doesn't become a problem over time. Dice feel a lot different. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, they're just different and the colors are darker than the original core.
Conversion kits: Wow, so much stuff in these! (I bought all three.) The biggest problem I see for myself moving forward is how to effectively organize/store everything once it's open and punched out. The boxes of the kits themselves are very thin and won't be much good for storage, so time to explore binders/organizers more. Interested to see what others do.
Fang Fighter: I only owned one fang, so this was a good pickup for me. It's nice to have a different, complementary paint scheme on this one. The rotating wing mechanic was very tight on this, so tight I was worried it was glued shut for a moment, but that's probably better than the alternative. Seems to be working well now. A note on the packaging: I always keep my ships in the little plastic pod they come in for protection. There is a plastic pod in the new packaging under an additional layer of plastic glued to the front. Although the new packaging looks better, I did have to maul the package to get the ship pod out, so be careful if you save these like I do.
Solo Falcon: This is perhaps the best surprise of the lot. The model looks great and the mechanic with the escape pod is done very well. It fits well and you really don't know it's even there until you remove it. This also came with a lot of cards! Not thrilled with the packaging (again, the cardboard is even thinner than before). I used to keep a lot of the packages for storage, but I think that's probably not an option with a lot of the newer packaging.
I'm thinking of picking up a new Y-wing once I see it in person. I'm curious to know what others think of the model once they have it in hand.

Too much ?
Core set, imperial and rebel kits. Set to arrive Saturday or Monday, though.
One of each.
Core, Imp and Rebel kits, plus a fifth Y-wing (favourite ship).
I'm picking up a preordered Empire conversion kit at one store, and giving in to temptation and getting a Scum kit at another. Got my Rebel Alliance kit last night, so today is going to be spent sorting cards and assembling dials.
Core set , empire and scum conversion kit, y wing, and fangs fighter. Getting excited I personally hate playing so it's time to experiment.
Got a core set on preorder at the FLGS, not sure which conversion set(s?) I'm going to pick up, but I'll grab one. I'm kinda leaning towards Imperial, but I know I'll get all three eventually.
Might also grab Landos. I'd been hesitant, but the pod might be worth it for three reasons. 1) the escape craft might be worth it. 2) there are lots of good upgrades, like Han gunner, Composure, L3-37, Lando crew. 3) With a 3rd Falcon Model, that'd be the total number which can be converted in the Resistance set. Not sure if it'd be worth running 3x Resistance Falcons, or even if it'll fit into 200 points.
got the Core set, the new Falcon, SCUM and Imperial conversion kit.
I will pick up my pre-ordered items: core set, Lando’s falcon, 1 of each conversion kit.
Core. maybe a fighter...
Was contemplating a scum upgrade kit, since I had already bought Rebel and Imperial at GenCon... but won a scum kit at a tournament two weeks ago and am just waiting for notice to go pick it up now.
Nothing until I see the freaking app.
Edited by DropDeadCriminalWent to my FLGS yesterday (!!) and got the core, Rebel and Imp conversion kits plus extra dice and the promo damage deck.
Now I just need time to open them.
Core and all three conversion kits. I should've added a Scum Falcon. Poop. And probably another TIE Bomber, because, well, BOMBERS.
Will be unpackaging some stuff at the store because my regular X-wing battle-buddy and I are gonna squeeze in a game.
Edited by Bad Idea ComicsI got the CORE, the REBEL CONVERSION KIT, and the Y-Wing. I really want this darn app to drop.
