8 points of shield value between the generic Rebel and Scum. Leaves 24 as the difference. Rebel YT-1300 primary 3= 24 points of cost for game effect valuation.

Good thing you can't take 4 rebel YT-1300s. Cause four turrets with double digit hit points each on large bases with boost and 3 turns would just be silly, you know.

Yeah, not letting this one go. Went 4-0 with Freighter Four. All four ships still on the board at the end of 75 minute rounds. Only two half pointed in worst game for a grand total of... Wait for it.... 50 points. The other two games won handily. It's just filthy if flown right and engaging with just a passing knowledge of Lancer dial.

Translation: Pretty sure @Cloaker ran 4 Scum YT-1300's, probably bare. The new Falcon dial is very similar to the 1.0 Lancer dial, so easy transition from 1.0 Lancer to 2.0 Scum Falcon.

It wasn't fun to fly. Felt dirty and not in a scummy dirty way. So far, the only NPE I've seen in almost 40 2.0 games. That's a good sign, honestly.

But yeah, anyone with money to burn and half a mind can win with it, often.

No, no of course not. They are going to buy 4 scum falcons for the chits and tokens and then 4 rebel ones for a classic falcon look to their list.

It is a list that takes a Howlswarm at least 6 rounds to kill- that's a lot of beef to chew through.

The return firepower isnt all that spectatular, though.

That was my initial impression, until I saw that 2 dice focused attacks are actually not as bad in 2.0. Probably averaged at least 8+ focused dice attacks a game too. It was weird. You know how video racing games have those ghost images for racing time trials? It was like having always having a Shadow Falcon nearby. It just happened to not be the one you expect. Crazy.

I didn't even expect it. It just didn't wound up happening that way. Vader hated that his Force / ATC shenanigans were fruitless. He had to run and lost on points. It was kinda funny. Kinda.

You could even switch to Hull Upgrades instead of shield. Crits in 2.0 generally aren't as bad as they were in second edition, and the points you save could allow you to upgrade one pilot to Lando, or to add upgrades like Han Solo, BT-1, IG-88D, or Inertial Dampeners.

I'm guessing you mean 2.0 isn't as bad as 1.0? Have you played 2.0 games yet? Cuz I don't know anyone who's played 2.0 who agrees with that (until maybe now?).

Well, if it is that good, expect to see the points value shifted upwards in one of the updates.

I have not played with the 2.0 damage deck yet, so I may have misread it.

Or I may just have a disproportionate hatred of the old Damaged Sensor Array crit, which would never fix itself no matter how many times I rolled for it.

The "roll for it" nonsense is gone, thankfully. But, man...crits seem to happen a LOT more often and they can cascade into crippling a ship so very quickly.

Fuel leak is just a weak direct hit.

Not when you also have a hull breach, because that means that the HIT you take from Fuel Leak gets flipped up into a crit as well. Oh, and same for the HIT from Direct Hit. It's more about Hull Breach being painful than the fuel leak.

Direct hit does the same thing with hull breach, only it does it instantly. Fuel leak is nothing special, its hull breach that's the real killer.
