I'm waiting to see what The Gathering Storm brings to the table as well. If it gives some meat to the setting, I may give this a go. If I get another product that is fairly over priced and doesn't offer me much, I'm trading the game system away to someone that will use it.... I can always use more Warmachine minis.

You won't have to wait much longer. www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_news.asp

Saw that today.

Honestly, it would not surprise me in the least. Given that the previous two "Expansions" feel more then a little bit like filler. That is "Stuff that could have/should have" been in the core set + some tokens and card board doodads...I kinda suspect there is some "testing of the waters" so to speak (Lets see just how many pieces can we split this game in to"....).

And it's not that I dislike the game. But Well, lets just say that The Gathering Storm is gonna be the "make or break point" for our group-If it's a Great campaign set, we are all in. If it turns out to be "meh" we are out...

I'm hoping they realeased Adventure's Toolkit and GM's Toolkit just as you said: parts that weren't in the Corebox. the Adventurer's is clearly a way to try and make the players buy boxes as well, I think they tryed to create an expansion that would give everything we need for added players. I don't think they got the right of it, but it was my impression. I'm curious about GM's Toolkit's book, because I really liked ToA. other than that, and, ok, more action cards, talents, locations, itens and such (all of which can make the game be more confortable, we having more options in the system as they suggest it, and all of that expaning a little the rules and even scenario, as we can manage other scene mechanics and character options; but, I agree with all, all of that tiresome for buyers who are waiting for serious scenario and world expansions, descriptions and choices).

but I'm with you for sure in saying that the realeses so far gave us more of the same. an expansion of what we already had. that's fine, but it gets boring. we want more of what we don't have! I also hope The Gathering Storm is going to be a great adventure. that can excite us a little more, for a little longer. but then we are going to be needing serious boxes, that gives us serious expanded options, and that takes care of the Warhammer scenery as it deserves.

(sorry about the sometimes oor english)
