I've decided against the MU expansion and am instead working on a much larger expansion that tries to replicate the Masks campaign for Call of Cthulhu. The expansion will have a new exp. playing board: a world map with locations from NY, London, Egypt, Kenya, and China, two Exotic locals (the Bent Pyramid Throne Room and the City Beneath the Sands) the street areas on this map would be seas, I think. I've already revamped Nyarlathotep as much more powerful Ancient One. There will be more Mask monsters. There will be allies and villains (right now blight cards) of campaign characters, and items and spells and such. There are few crossover cards from the DP expansion, which i will recreate here.

Needless to say, this expansion will have a lot of spoilers concerning the campaign. The main thing I'm not yet clear on is how movement might work on the World Map, to better model world travel. Also, how do I post pictures on the forum?

Nice to see that some people have so much energy that they can work a complete "world" expansion for Arkham. Anyway, I will be happy to play it :-)

The Masks Expansion as it stands will add:

1 expansion board with:

15 Locations (5 regions, New York, London, Egypt, Kenya, China)

2 New exotic locals

8 Unique Items

17 Allies

11 villans (currently Blight cards, deciding how to do these)

7 Monsters (2 Mask Monsters)

2 Spells

~25 encounter cards (not sure how many I'll need of these)

~10 gate cards (not sure how many I'll need of these)

~20 Mythos Cards (not sure how many I'll need of these)

1 new great old one

If you are familiar with the campaign, I could always use ideas for the encounter cards . All ideas and suggestions welcome. i hope to post some cards sometime this week.

A Revamped Nyarlathotep for the expansion.

The campaign is basically about stopping Nyarlathotep's plan to turn the Earth into a playground for the Outer Gods, thus I figure an end of the world battle makes sense. This expansion goes heavily after investigator sanity, which again makes sense given N's goal of spreading chaos, but several monsters reward sanity points for being defeated and several of the new allies provide some form of sanity boost as well. Let me know what you think

You know there are currently a lot of heralds floating around the herald thread that are based off the masks of nyarlethotep similar to how the dark pharoh was done.

yes, I looked at a bunch of those, I liked the idea of having a particular AO to face as part of the expansion, in terms of flavor, but I suppose I could also offer a herald version to give people a choice.
