A Couple Ackbar Fleets

By schmidty1701, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

I've been toying around with wild and crazy Ackbar lists. I came up with two that I'd actually fly.

Squadrons:

I think the AFII fleet would just surprise people. 4 Assualt frigates with Ackbar and GT could do A LOT of damage.

On paper, AFmk2 dish out more damage than Corvette Swarm. But for this to happen, you need to have them positionned for 2 targets. I have found that hard to pull in practice. You're opponent need to got that way as, as agile as it is, the frigate is not so nimble it can get itself where ever it wants to be.

Please note I usually have 1 or 2 Frigates, with Corvettes support.

Regarding your second list: I like what you have done to address squadron issues. If I may ask : Why Neb-B instead of corvettes ? You have point for it, and they are more agile. You could even go with 5 corvettes & 1 Neb, and have it be the Salvation, either with a TRC or a DTT. This way, if someone tries to get in front of your line, you throw some REALLY heavy punches.

Just cause I have 3 Nebs. In reality, I probably will go with 5 Corvettes and Salvation. I'm just trying to find ways to use my Nebs. They don't hit the table much.

I feel you. I almost never play mine. Some of the best titles out there. One of the hardest ship to position correctly.
