At I have painted hans cloak the standard light brown with shading etc...from the film pics, I cant work out if it has a light brown splotchy camo pattern at all?

Yes, it has a camo pattern according to the cosplayers of Rebel Legion.

There's a reference picture on the link, it's pretty subtle but clearly visible.

Yeah, a light brown with some darker sploches would be how I would run. Or just let the some brown shade sit a bit heavier like camo.

As you can see in the pictures it’s a very simple camo with dark and light areas. I think some sloppy shading actually recreates this pretty well.
