So if instigator is escorted by valon rudor and they both engage enemy squads, what happens?

For reference Rudor:"While an enemy squadron is engagedwith another squadron, it cannot attackyou."

instigator:Enemy squadrons at distance 1 are treated as if they are engaged by 2 additional squadrons, even if they are not currently engaged
