LFP AoR/F&D IRL S Orl FL near CSI off OBT.

By Mark Caliber, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

Only two actual words in the title.

Okay to translate: "Looking for a Player for Age of Rebellion/Force & Destiny campaign played in person (In real life) located in South Orlando, Florida near the Cool Stuff Inc store off of Orange Blossom Trail. We play weekly on Tuesday Evenings from 6:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. We all work pretty normal hours so wrap time is important for all of the players (except maybe the guy who works as a D&D GM at CSI).

I'm running an FFG Star Wars campaign set in an Age of Rebellion style setting comprised of a bunch of force sensitive player characters. We've been running this game for almost a year and we've settled in with a good group of dedicated players. Sadly, one of our anchor players had a change in lifestyle/priorities and is not going to be participating (but may return to the group at some future time).

We're currently down to two players and they've expressed a STRONG desire to have another 1 or 2 players join the group.

The team of PC's are a collection of Force Sensitives who have been collected by the Rebel Alliance into a special operations group (SOG) of force sensitives. The Alliance has found an old Jedi, who is training the PC's, when time permits.

Timeline-wise; We are currently about half way between the Battle of Yavin and the Battle of Hoth . . .

Interested? PM me and we can arrange a quick meeting at CSI.

TL;DR ?

(Sorry. Couldn't resist being a smartarse. Best of luck finding some players)

I'll let you know by May. Working on stupid masters degrees are keeping the wife and I too busy for regular game schedules before then.

Hello!

Hope you do not mind me hijacking this thread. My family and I moved to Lakeland, FL in December! We're interested in starting a table top new game in the Lakeland, Tampa, or Orlando area.

Husband is looking to run a Star Wars Legacy or Star Wars Dark Times game.

Star Wars Legacy would be based off John Ostrander and Jan Duursema's comic published by Dark Horse Comics. The setting is 137 years after Battle of Yavin in which the known galaxy is ruled by the Sith Empire and the what is left of the Empire. The players would take the roll of Jedi is hiding or allies of the Republic attempting to make a life on the rims of space aka the Edge of the Empire/Edge of the Sith. The difference in this setting over EoTE is the Sith are present and powerful. The rule of 2 is no longer in affect.

Star Wars Dark Times: Would be a Dark Side Campaign where the players would play as either Inquisitors, Imperial Agents, Dark Force Users who are working for Palpatine and Vader in hopes of hunting down those who are loyal to the Republic or Jedi who survived Order 66.

The game would be monthly or bi-monthly depending on schedules. Preferred location would be somewhere in Lakeland, Orlando, or somewhere between Lakeland/Orlando.

Interested PM me or reply to this thread. Thanks.

Lakeland to the eastern side of Orlando is quite a drive, especially considering how bad the traffic gets on I-4.

Yeah. I hated the drive when my son was going to school at the Polytech out there. And Lakeland is further still!

They do have a Coliseum of Comics in downtown Lakeland that you should check out and post a LFP poster.

And I DO know that some of the kids out at the Poly-tech have healthy gaming clubs going. And the school will rent out the theater for a screening of any of the Star Wars movies so the students can all see the movie together.

You may be able to get a group assembled easier than I can. (Although my group is back up and running so I'm good). But I have a seat or two that are available still.

Excuse me, sir. Seeing as how the VP is such a VIP, shouldn't we keep the PC on the QT? 'Cause if it leaks to the VC he could end up MIA, and then we'd all be put on KP

Sorry for the non-genre quote but had to be done

I'm in Clearwater. Lakeland is doable for me, but only on the weekends, and not every weekend.

A solid, monthly game would be super.

Hoi hoi @Mark Caliber, we already visited Coliseum of Comics to gather some information. It is a nice store in Lakealand. I drove by the other comic store down the street called Uncanny Heroes and it looked like they were either closing or relocating. I'll try to reach out to some of the students at Polytech. It will officially be a KOTOR game that takes place between the first two computer role-playing games. Cheers. We also potentially don't mind driving to Orlando to game. We were traveling an hour south from Martin County to Broward County once a week for a Dawn of the Rebellion game after all heh.

Edit: My brother also lives in Orlando, so us coming out there would kill two birds w/one stone.
