PSA: Everyone check the status of your Pre-Orders

I received 3 emails this morning; 2 (order in process emails) and 1 (cancellation email of a pre-order); so I called. And good thing I did. There seems to be a glitch in the ordering system where anything ordered with Lando's Falcon Expansion Pack (which is the issue causing the cancellations). Is being kicked out of the system and the Lando's Expansion Pack is needing to have the order replaced to make sure it ships with the other items in any pre-order (if you are shipping them all together).

The customer service rep was able to fix (supposedly) my shipping/pre-order to make sure everything was now going through together as planned, but I needed to check my bank account as well to make sure I was not being double charged for any glitch due to the ordering cancellation/shipping, reorder. So if you pre-ordered anything I'd check the order carefully. I was told everything should ship together end of this week, beginning of next to arrive a day early or on the 13th exactly.

Update: With confirmation of issue

"Thank you for contacting us with your concerns. ......... These orders will ship together and the shipping costs for the pre-order......(with Lando’s Falcon) will be free. You will receive an email with the tracking information once the items ship from our warehouses and if you have any further questions or concerns please feel free to contact us again."

Yeah I got caught up with this wreck today and wish I hadn't seen the emails. They told everyone to re-order due to the glitch that cancelled the orders, then sent another email later saying they fixed it and you didn't need to. Now I'm waiting to see if I need to cancel my re-order or if they're going to wave their magic lightsaber again.

I am altering the deal. Pray I do not alter it any further.

Sheesh, I guess I'm glad I couldn't afford more than just the core set right now...

Hopefully you were able to get through it appears, everything goes to voicemail right now. With the understanding that they won't get back to you for at least 24 hours. Hopefully everyone's orders all ship out when they were supposed to. I know the rep I talked to assured me my stuff was now all taken care of again. We will see.

I responded to the email and then tried to call, but as you said, it goes to voicemail now. I'm hoping they sort everything out.

This is why you preorder from your FLGS, people.

I got through at 10am, spoke with the rep, he literally walked back to my orders and put them together (I waited 25 minutes on hold) when he returned he assured me everything was fine now and it would ship together. He (as I asked) followed up with an additional email. He told me my shipping on all my items would be free now as well. Hopefully everyone gets there orders resolved as well.

You don't think it didn't happen to them? it was a systematic error with the shipping/processing of the Lando's Falcon Expansion pack. It will effect everyone even your LGS.

Preorder at which site? I’ve seen no emails and need to confirm if I’m in trouble or not

who are you ordering through? FFG directly? I doubt it would affect FLGSs. It's not like they order through the retail store which would use a different software system than what ordering through a distributer would entail. I guess it could, depending on how that's all tied together but that would surprise me.

FLGSes do not order through remotely the same stock control system as individuals.

(Just to clarify for everyone, this only affected pre-orders of the Lando Falcon.)

I just got through and the guy sounded like they're swamped. He said the best thing to do is reply to the latest email if you followed their instructions and re-ordered and they'll sort it all out.

Can't agree more with this sentiment. Especially when your FLGS gives you 20% off on pre-orders and has a point system where you get 20 points per dollar spent that, when you get 16,000 points accumulated, you get a $25 credit.

On the other hand, when the LGS hikes prices over MSRP (25€ for a Scurrg) and doesn't even organize events for the game while the friendly online store that is based almost locally (well, 1.5 hours by train) does great deals and organizes nice tournaments 2-3 times per year, I can't begin to understand how the LGS is still in business.

Oh lord am I salty about this LGS. On the other hand, that online store is great and its owner knowledgeable and happy to communicate via messengers, so at least there is no conflict of interest for me to support the local store.

My flgs said that most will be available on release but scum conversion is delayed and the damage deck is unknown at this point.

One of mine said the same, and the TIE Advanced would be late as well.

Mine said the Millennium Falcon will be delayed

I popped into my local store on Monday. The conversation went something as follows.

"I thought 2nd edition came out on the 25th? Eh, I only ordered a box of Core Sets anyway, I mean, are the conversion kits even necessary? Don't know what's happening with the rest of the stuff. I thought details for the launch events would come with the core sets..."

Fortunately I pre ordered with a different store (that's about 2 hours away) when 2nd edition was first announced, who have already organised and announced a launch party for this weekend. I'd love to support my local shop but ****, they don't make it easy...

Great, now I'm depressed that the one FLSG near me that actually had a good discount/incentive program closed down and the only ones left just charge full price for everything and call it a day...
