In the year 3000....

By Artemus Maximus, in Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game

The Dwarfs will have finally been able to build a competitive pure-Dwarf deck.

Sadly, they are squashed by an Ork Killa Kan before they can say "Grudge Thrower".

In the year 3000....

I'm bringing my dwarf deck to where you live and its going to kick your ....!!!!

But seriously you are right, they really need those witch hunters nowadays with all those skavens running loose.

I feel like I am getting close with Dwarfs. Maybe the last two BPs will give us the final pieces.

anytime Toberk, bring it!!!

i have a feeling too Rex....and maybe i'm just psyching everyone out not to use them to my advantage demonio.gif

If there are good cards coming for dwarfs and they kick a**, other fractions players will cry like dwarfs do now and get another boost. And the circle begins again ;D

I find the new aou cards great to fill the "anti-rush" gap. And Im really looking forward to that new card from the upcoming bb. Great stuff. Hope dwarfs will gain the best relics as they constructed all the stuff in the past the other fractions now wield ;)

That Book of Grudges coming next battle pack looks to be especially tasty . . . I could see a Dwarf attachment deck eventually working tbh.

i know...i can't wait! you'd really need a card to retrieve attachments from discard pile though...else they take up too much space in your deck, being reliant on units and providing no resources by themselves because of this.

I'd totally forgotten that the book can be used for +2 Power in any zone O_o I'm liking that.

Yeah, I think an Attachment deck wouldn't run masses of attachments, just the best ones. Organ Gun and Great Book of Grudges are the particularly good ones off the top of my head . . . maybe Gromril Armor? It's only 6-9 deck slots, and they can always be turned into developments.

right the book is good for that - the reason i'm alluding to more than the 6-9 is that Anvil of Doom & Gurni Thorgrimson work best with multiple attachments, so the more, the better i was thinking. But i guessif they get great attachments, those +1 benefits could be seen as just a bonus...

Speaking of thorgrimson, i just had a game today, i was chaos, my opponent was dwarf.

He had three anvil of dooms, thorgrimson and organ gun attached to him. HE WAS DEALING 6 DAMAGE ON AN ATTACK 8 ON DEFENCE!!!!

lucky for me, he doesnt have path of the zeolot with gromiril armour.preocupado.gif

and

Gurni + 3 Anvil of Doom + Great Book of Grudges = 8 power. "Looks like Gurni got that book at Target!" "well ok go ahead and kill him - you'll get 6 indirect dmg." lol ...again though - you lose 2 cards when that happens (unless you reclaim them and later mine them) and it leaves the anvils not doing anything. unless you have more attachments. but for the anvils to be funtioning the majority of the time, you need either some REALLY good attachments that make the units hard to kill or just strong units OR many attachments. Too many attachments though and they are really detrimental. maybe Dwarf/HE attachment will be the way to go with Dragons & defensive attachments & healing...but i want so bad for Dwarfs to stand up on their own without help from their elvish or human buddies!

Could Pilgrimage him back to hand, Book goes poof, then once Gurni's back, then zap him (before the Book comes back to him).

The way i am reading Book of Grudges, the unit it is attached to must enter the discard pile for the effect to go off. So I do not believe you can reclaim the unit and then pick it back up with Abandoned Mine. I do think you can reclaim the Book and then pick it back up, so it still has some good use. Might actually be wiser to put the Book on less valuable units so the opponent has a choice to make when it comes to which unit to take out. Hammerers seem like a good choice.
