Great write up. I love the titles. Really interesting matchups.
I'm assuming that the A-Wings in the first Raddus fleet are to pin other squads who might move to block your drop just before you Raddus in.

At first i have to admit, that the squadron list is still the one from @Roquax . I have still not found a better version of it, and it fit so well to my play style. Even when it is harder to activate all the squadron now.
About the 3 ships with the imperials, this is the reason i switched to rebels. If you want to play heavy squadrons, you will not really be able to get 5 activations. The ISD is currently way to good to not use it (UK and German nationals show it really well). The Strategic Adviser just pushed the ISD past all other ships. Or do you know another way to get 2 ships for 124 that have the same firepower as the ISD II? And the same great Slots?
If you have the ISD with SA, 134 Points in squadrons and Sloane (or any other admiral), you have not really must room for anything. You might need a carrier (eigther the ISD with fighter support or the Quasar). If you take the Quasar, you have only room for one Gozanti. If you take something else instead of the Quasar, you have to drop some upgrades. I was really surprissed to see this few Quasar. And to see so many Arquitens instead as 3rd ship in the imperal squadron lists.
No matter what you try, getting 5 activations is to hard and will cost to much (for the imperal player).
On top of this, the missions are really a problem. Most time you end as second player. And if you are second, you want some missions that help you. But the Sloane (or the rogue list from Gariel) have some problems to get missions that fit perfect.
The rebel list on the other Hand has it all. You have 5 activations and you have 3 missions that will really hurt your Opponent. Non-squadron lists will bleed when they have to pick one of These 3 missions. Sensor Net and Fire Lanes both give you 45 Points in the first turn. And it really force the Opponent to go in, or the token farming is going on. But going in this hard means that they run into the wall. The MC80 with the Yavaris in the back and the squadrons in the front is a really hard to break block. And Precission Strike, combined with Luke is a Token Generator. And a really evil one (as i could see at the weekend). Injured Crew made the rebel list to a better version of Sloane.
About the Matches i can only say a bit now (i will write something more later this week).
Funny part about the list from Abraham was that he is using exact the squadron list that i (and @Green Knight) always used. I just use a Quasar as carrier instead of the Arquitens.
The match against Abraham was maybe already lost for him when i was first Player. But on the other Hand, what Mission would he have choosen, if he would has been Player 1? It's a hard call when you think about it.
I was able to kill his Saber Squadron with Corran in Turn 1. 4 Hits with the first attack were maybe evil, but with 2 attacks it should have died either way.
I think that i forced him into some unthinkingly move. I am not sure, but maybe he was just running in after he saw what Corran + Adar can do. This cost him all the squadron in the end. With only a dead Corran and Luke on my side.
His Arquitens thought it was a good idea to make a broadside duel with the MC80. I think i don't have to tell you how it ended.
The second match was similar. I was first, and it gave me the ability to do the last/first move.
But his squadrons are really hard to take down with Corran with 2 attacks. I could not kill them, but forced them to fly back to the station for repair. This means they were basically out (just not with points for me).
in the end the ISD was flying in alone, without the fighter support. This allowed me to Switch to Luke with Adar. Doing two attacks and getting him back in cover (and start to farm tokens, thanks to the mission).
Long Story short. The ISD was flying into the Bombers and the MC80 and his squadrons came to late for support. Thanks to last/first the MC80 was even able to dodge the front of the ISD. The ISD died, the squadrons were still in dogfight (my squadrons were dead or nearly dead, his were barely damaged). But a dead ISD and a nearly undamaged MC80 sealed it.
The Comms Noise crit on the ISD was nice, but there would have been so many other crits that would have result in the same (thanks to Dodonna).

Like I said, I'll probably whole sale steal this list.
One of the Fish Farm's weaknesses in the end was that it wasn't super devastating as first player. Yavaris double tapping three squadrons? Yeah that's a brutal first player activation. This really sets up a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation.
Big fan.

It is interesting and funny to see that some squad arrangements have more or less crystallized. Maarek - Jendon - Saber - Howl - Ciena -Valen - Mithel - Dengar. I can think of no better squad for Sloane. And now this squad from Roquax that even uses Corran, who was not considered top tier at all before he joined VCX - VCX - Gold -Dutch - Luke - Ten - Dagger. The game is very manture now. And oc we have not had many new squads for a long time, just the Gauntlet.
Just to uphold our national pride: Markus is from Austria and our nobels are from the house of Habsburg, or going further back, Babenberg. They ruled roughly a thousand years prior to some English deciding to invite their prisoners to a trip to an island in the South Pacific. *National Pride off*

The most funny part was that first semi final match.
I was really often playing the Sloane Aces (the same list i was playing against in the semi final) and i know how it compete against the rebel aces. I know that i have problems against it, and that it will be brutal when the rebel player is first.
So i knew really well what to expect and how to react.
I assume that Abraham was not so experienced with this squadron list or with squadrons in general (he had to ask a few times about the effects from my squadrons). This means he was already in a disadvantage.
The attack and kill from Corran in the first turn might have ruined all his plans.
?
Game fun aside, in times like these, Id wish for a lot less of the warped „National Pride“ I see everywhere.
I like Austria and would like for all to come and experience it too. Beautiful country with mostly very welcoming people.

Luke, come to Austria, we'll show you round Vienna and play you some Armada ?. I recently read it was voted the best city to live in, in the world, after beating Melbourne.

I've actually been to Vienna! We rented a small Airbnb apartment and had a great time.
I'll also be in Europe / America sometime after January next year.
If I can line it up I'm trying to make it to Euros / Worlds.

*** grumbles *** "It's not an Island, it's a Continent, roughly 92 times the size of Austria..."
And it wasn't just prisoners - I'm descended from Germans who left the old country during or about Bismark's wars of unification and came to Australia for some reason.
Anyway, well done German Meisters!
I would love to come and spiel some zeit...
and you‘d be very welcome, Sir!

I'm just bitchy since we have to tell people that there are no cangaroos in Austria.
Just some statistics:
